Just one final touch needed to make Christmas go with a bang - party poppers!
"I found something too!" squeaked Poco the little mouse, toddling into the room with a small plastic toy in his paws. It had a string hanging out of the end that reminded him of mousies. He pulled on the string and all the little cubs squealed with delight at the sudden bang and shower of streamers!
Happy Christmas, Poco! For all these years it's been great to be friends with another sweet little rodent! You're always so cute and nice to everyone, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas time! ^.^

Ooooh Poco is a friendly mousy. It's a shame he doesn't post so much anymore...
Anyway, those things are pretty fun even if cleaning up afterward isn't. Also, all the ones I've seen are operated by a spring-driven twist mechanism in the bottom, not a pull-string so lil' Poco must've found a fun new variety to play with! ^^

Consulting various wikis, I've determined that the spring-powered poppers were developed to get around some of the legal issues with selling explosive compounds to minors (even the miniscule amounts in the pull-string poppers).
Oddly, the sale of Christmas Crackers is unaffected so I suspect there's either a significant difference in the amount/type of explosive used or that my only ever seeing the latch and spring model for sale here is simply a coincidence...

Reading through the last batch I had fallen behind on prior to Santa's arrival at our little apartment has been a real treat, Zee. Thank you yet again for another wonderful season of thoughtfully fun shout outs complete with a holiday tale in which we all shall remember most fondly.
The parents playing their respective parts was really cool. It gave the whole scene a feeling of a crowded home filled to its capacity with friends and family of all ages coming together to celebrate such a magical time of year. At times I could almost feel the ambiance as memories of my own childhood Christmases came back through this year's advent calendar.
You also have a great way of using these to help further make us all know all the super nice folks who are around these parts. We can sometimes forget or even not notice a friendly face who could turn out to be our best friend. The Advent Calendar allows us to see how we're all a special community brimming with love to give and hugs to receive.
For a season where kindness and generosity are to be at their peak you certainly bring both above and beyond to all of us little ones from around the world. *Huggles* Merry Christmas, Zoom-Zoom! :)
