The way this illustrated reminds me of a possible card or maybe a fun little moment in an animated series. It's very sweet how Cole and Ricki are teaming up to put that star atop the tree.
Someone could view this and visualize how the two discussed who'd be the one to put on the star while the other had to keep steady enough to allow the star to go atop the tree. Some fun music would play as Cole wobbles about as Ricki insists he stays still. They keep coming close but Cole can't help but be unsteady from Ricki's weight and movements towards the tree. Perhaps we'd get the star up as Ricki flops down onto the tree and accidentally pulls down the other decorations. This would result in a quick chuckle as Cole would state, "We at least got the star up." :)
Do you get trees you can replant? Or do you get the ones you have to eventually dispose of?
Our family did a few real trees. We had one in which was able to survive after being a Christmas Tree. It's now at the house we grew up in. There was talk of the new owner cutting it down. I hope they don't. I loved that tree and how it kept getting bigger and bigger each year.

Not sure exactly but my trees seem to last well past Christmas watering them outside, but never tried replanting them. I think we kept one all the way until March. I kinda like the tree we got this year, but not a lot of places where we can plant and keep it there for the long run.
usually its done from a sprig, but i dont think every tree can do that. you take a good healthy cut and put it in fetralized water, and with good care, it grows roots and you can plant it.
