Suddenly I heard a laser gun blast. I turned my head to see a red beam heading right towards me. Apparently one of the minions had gotten up and shot their gun. I couldn't react fast enough. I was going to get hit…and then my life would be over. I stared at my impending doom when was pushed aside.
It was Reggie. He had shoved me aside and put himself in the path of the laser. It happened in an instant.
"Reggie! NOOO!" I shouted as the beam made impact right to his chest.
Reggie staggered, and fell to the ground.
"No, NOOOOO!" I cried and fired my Aura Sphere at the minion. It hit him full on and he crumpled to the floor. I knelt by Reggie's side.
"Reggie, Reggie, please wake up." I pleaded, shaking him.
The laser burn was over his heart.
He slowly opened his eyes. "Brandon…" he said weakly, looking at the burn wound on his chest. "I-I'm hurt, aren't I?"
"No, no," I panted, "You're gonna be fine." I mumbled, being very close to tears.
"Listen, Brandon," Reggie whispered, almost gasping for air.
"I'm done for. You need to get out of here,"
"I'm not leaving you," I told him, defiant, as if I had a choice. "We're going back, together. I promise…"
He groaned and lifted his head, his breaths getting heavier with each passing second. "A-Abandon your partner for the sake of the mission…r-remember? You have to go back alone or you'll be easier to hunt down."
He gasped and fell back down.

In all seriousness, I am indeed your Secret Santa for the Pokeumans Secret Santa event this year. As such, I put a ton of effort and love into depicting the scene you requested. I sincerely hope I was able to convey the raw emotion of the scene appropriately. Please do let me know if anything needs changing.

So, as for the drawing itself, this is the very absolutely 100% lineless drawing I've done. I felt this was the exact time for such a scene, as my thicker-outline style might be a touch too cartoony to really convey the emotion of the event. On top of that, I've really admired a lot of lineless work and this was my attempt to begin on that path once in awhile. Please DEFINITELY tell me how you all like it! The feedback is important to me!
