All things considered, I think everyone handled it pretty well. I mean, everyone evacuated very quickly for 1:40 AM. Then they were able to get the hotel floor open again very soon after.
Still, a lotta people got hurt. Fortunately they all seem to be okay now but, ugh.
Like I said, I'm not even sure what my thoughts are on the incident. Don't think it's even really sunk in for me yet.

I figured as much, and you'd think those stairwells would be a prime spot for one, privacy not really being a concern in a place that should sorta be an emergency exit.
Still, I guess it might be a blindspot? And if it was, a stairway has multiple access points. Any number of people could come and go from that spot.

I worked surveillance for over 7+ years. Even if they don't have camera in the stairwells, most places should have coverage of the entrance to them to cover foot traffic. It should be hard to find unless tons off ppl used the stirs about the same time. it not impossible, just very time consuming. Its not necessarily always an issue of have the coverage as much as the man hours to dig threw it. but based of what happened the feds are likely involved. It most like only a matter of time.
