http://i.imgur.com/5xV7OrX.png there's some sort of blend/gradient weirdness going on. I presume this was in sai, and you used the watercolor brush on an overlay? That'll cause this to happen if you aren't super careful. A small amount of it is pretty unnoticeable but this stands out.

aside from the odd overlay weirdness, it's still pretty though.

that was a color white used on the top left corner of the picture and all across the borders to give a "light, soft effect"
so yeah its not flat at all

backgrounds are my worst, i can't even tell you how badly i need to do some practice like this too
lineness backgrounds seem easier than their counterpart. this is lovely though, bright and cheery. nice to see something like this pop up amidst the dreary NY weather heh
