Ahh Black Squirrel Swamp, is truely swampy, just look at that expanse of mud. During most of the year the water is about a foot or so deep from here, but at the end of summer. nope. This stuff is thick and rich, and I have to wear some serious swamping outfits in order to keep nice. This mud is rich and often loaded with little twigs and sticks, and makes for a serious navagation hazard to going in in just a swimsuit. This I had to wear a unitard under tights and finally a leotard over all that, basic full ballet outfit really. Otherwize i't get nicked up and unhappy. still fun times! How deep, challengingly deep. its loaded with seeps and springs, and I found a place in near one of the edges that about sucked me right in, It was slurping into my armpits, and I had a feeling it was deeper too!
