Dear furries, sit around the fireplace, take a glass of milk and a cookie, because i'll tell you a beautiful story about Christmas.
Furry Town was a magical and special city all year long, but if you have not visited this place before I suggest you go there on Christmas. Christmas in Furry Town is when the city shines the brightest, its streets are filled with Children laughing and smiling. Snow fights, snow angels with tails and ears, ice cream of all the flavors of the rainbow and milk and cookies are some of the things that are common here in Furry Town. The spirit of happiness was everywhere, but unfortunately, sadness and injustice will always exist in this world. The less fortunate children like the ones in the orphanage on the outskirts of Furry Town, this is where we find Jack, a sixteen years old human kid.
“Is it Christmas again? so soon?,” he sighed, “another year is about to finish and i'm still here... confined in here and no family is interest in adopting me... is it because i'm a human?,” he was looking through the window feeling his heart cold as the snow falling in the streets.
A strong noise coming down the hallway, there is a group of three furry kids who are throwing snowballs. They saw Jack alone in the window and approached to him.
“Hey guys isn't this that slug... how is it called?,” one of the furry kids asked to the others.
“A.. a snail? Am i right boss?,” he shrugged.
“No, no, a human. I think it's called Jack,” said the third furry kid.
“Oh yeah, right. Sorry Jackio, i always forgot of your stupid name” -punching the shoulder of the human kid, Jack tried to not looked at them directly to the face- “what's the matter? Are you still mad? I told you i wore your underwear by mistake and pissed on it without malicious intent”.
“Just leave me alone” -said Jack pushing the kid aside- “why been a human is such a curse... it's like i never have a moment to relax between this place full of those furry children. Why they hate me so much?” -Jack thought to himself- “i never did no harm to you”.
“Hey, where do you think you are going? You didn't ask for my permission to leave” -said the tallest of the furry kids- “I'm talking to you dummy” -the tallest furry kid grabbed Jack's shoulder with his sharp claws-
“No, stop it! You're hurting me!” - Jack yelled in pain hitting with his elbow the furry kid's stomach leaving him breathless. Jack trying to pulling off the furry kids claws buried deep in his flesh-
“Get off me you bastard!”- crying a bit in pain forcing the claws out of his shoulder ripping apart his sweater in the process then running as fast as he could down the hallway through the main entrance-
“You won't get away with this you fucker,” yelled the furry kid trying to got up on his feet, “come on
guys don't just stand there, help me!”
After running for while he got inside a store to catch his breath, the pulsing pain in his shoulder made him remembered the injury he just got from the furry kid's sharp claws. The store clerk noticed the little kid's bloodstained shoulder and got very worried, he took care of the kid's injury with a first aid kit in the staff only room.
“It was just a scrath,” said Jack to the human store clerk, “this wasn't necessary”.
I just was worried, thankfully your injury wasn't that bad. Where are your parents kid?
“my parents... i... i don't have, sir,” he said while looking to the floor trying to avoid eye contact.
“Oh, i'm sorry kid. So you must live in the orphanage in the outskirts, right? It is curious, i thought only furry children were there” the store clerk heard someone coming inside. “a costumer!, wait here kid i'll right back, i'll call the orphanage so someone can come and escort you back there”.
“my parents... i want a family...” Jack took a piece of paper and pen from the drawer in the room and wrote a letter for Santa, “Santa please grant me my wish... i promise i'll never ask you for something never again if you grant me this” Jack finished writting the letter with his eyes covered in tears.
The kid leave the store using the backdoor and headed to the main street looking for a mail post in the middle of a hailstorm. Unfortunately the three furry kids were in the streets too.
“ We're tired boss, can we just go back to the orphanage? I'm sure the hailstorm will take care of the human scum,” said one of the furry kids to the tallest furry kid, ” yeah... i think you're right, i'm freezing here” he growled because didn't want to wait for his revenge on the human kid.
on the way back to the orphanage they found Jack crossing the road heading to the mail box “look what the hailstorm brought us guys” said the tallest of the furry kids.
Before Jack was able to put the letter inside the mail box he got pounced by the boss of the furry kids “gotcha!” Jack fell flat in his back in the snow which lessened the damage of the fall.
“Hello, dear friend,” the furry kid said while grabbing Jack's neck and giving him a punch directly into his nose, “time for a little payback” one of the furry kids notice the letter in Jack's hand.
“Look there boss,” the furry kid took the letter from Jack's hand without difficulty and gave it to the his boss.
He read the letter and his face got an even angrier expression “who do you think you are asking our Santa a wish?,” he said while grabbing harder Jack's neck, “he doesn't care about human scum like you, you're dummer than i thought” while he was saying this he teared apart Jack's letter in front of his face.
It was like the time had stopped for Jack, looking how the only hope and gift he wanted for christmas was now down to pieces flying all around him getting away by a strong gust of wind. Jack was left behind by the furry kids after the boss noticed the pain and sadness on Jack's eyes feeling a deep sense of satisfaction.
Jack was found unconcious by the store clerk, he brought him back to the orphanage. “i think he slipped and hit his face with the mail box, poor kid,” Jack was brought to infirmary by one of the furry ladies of the orphanage, all of his injuries were bandaged and he was covered with warm covers.
At midnight Jack woke up after dreaming he had a family and a place to call home waiting just for him.
Jack dried the tears in his eyes. “oh god... just a dream...” Jack heard noise coming from the hallway. He thought it would probably be the lady in charge of the infirmary. Jack stood up and headed down the hallway looking for the source of the noise, at the same time he felt a warm gust of wind with a delicious scent of cookies and milk guiding him.
“He-hello? Is there someone here?,” he kept walking until he reached the lobby where the christmas tree was. The tree was full of life, the lights were activated and only one present was at the tree's feet.
Jack was amazed and felt very comforted by the warm of the tree and the dancing lights of it.
Jack noticed the present and felt pulled to it by a strange force. He gift had his name on the label. “for me?, this must be prank from those bullies. I'm not falling on your prank you assholes!” said Jack yelling at the hallway. The gift box started to vibrate and exploded in a brown sticky goo mess.
“Yuck! I knew it, why do you hate me so much? Why can we just get along!” yelled Jack cleaning the goo from his eyes. The goo sticked to him and started warming Jack's body, “what! What's going on!,”
the goo covered his whole body shaping him resembling the shape of a reindeer.
Jack enjoyed the way the warm goo was covering his flesh with a smooth rubbery texture expanding slowly across his body. Antler came out of his head and a fluffy small tail came out of his tailbone finishing the transformation. “i feel so strong and comfy” said Jack looking amazed his new body. A noise came from behind, “how's there!?” Jack turned around quickly, his eyes were wide opened by what he saw.
“Hello there, kiddo” said the strange fat human in a red and white suit, “San-Santa!? Is that you?,” said Jack recognizing Santa from magazines and T.v shows.
Santa nodded giving Jack one of his warmest and biggest smiles “don't worry little one, i have a lovely place waiting for you and only you”
“Just for me?” tears of happiness came from Jack's eyes. His body was covered in magic dust letting him fly. Jack's letter was left behind at the tree's feet as he flew by Santa's side dissapearing both leaving a bright star in the blue sky.
