Do you know which type of locomotive Number 55 is? I've always liked the "Mid Cabs" as I grew up watching similar engines pulling freight through Baldwin Park and Azusa on the Santa Fe line in the 1960s. To me they were possibly the most "Diesel Locomotive" looking of freight hauling engines. There was a sort of "Industrial" look to them, and they didn't seem as sleek and "Fussy" as the F-5s or "Super Chief" cab forward types. (So a little grit and road grime didn't bother the freight types.)
