The third version of the Digi Legs, finished just in time for MWFF!
A bunch of improvements over the V2 legs
- Using snowboard bindings to hold foot down
- Finer pitch hinge screw, should prevent loosening over time
- More comfortable angle on the toe ramp
- Simplified and lightened cable length adjustment
- Small tweaks to lengths of thigh bar and width of ankle
And brand new foot design! provides a good combination of being able to stand still but transition to walking smoothly.
Weight per legs 9lbs
The eventual goal is to build a suit around these, keep an eye out for a 7'6" werewolf.

You would want to be in a rest position, so the frame has to be straight. Either the suit would have to be padded with a fake knee like most digigrade suits are, or you could have your own knee bent in that restposition while the frame is straight, which means a shorter frame with the leg padding/support molded to hold a part of the wieght when the frame is straight with the knee slightly bent. If you stand knees bent there is a rest position that is little effort just like straight legs...
Just a thought.
FYI pics are being posted on my account.
You should definitely fur the legs before the full suit, just because you can use it ASAP like that, as a half transformed werewolf or satire. All the more you're getting the wolf, you could do a v1.0 fur test...
We will have some creative padding to do to hide the mechanical bits. I would like to get these furred pretty soon, I have a little bit more testing and a couple things I want to add/try but I think these are getting pretty close to something I would be comfortable with putting in a suit.
