I'm spending the night in an inn in a village on the road. It will take at least a day of travel before reaching Port Marquis. There are a lot of people in it, mostly adventurers getting drunk quite fast. They're noisy. It seems I'm in a solo group again, I suspect that something will happen tonight…
I look behind me, there are drunken adventurers cheering. Mmm… nothing yet.
"Hey shorty." Tells a voice.
"Hum?"
A big human guy is standing at my side. He looks pretty drunk.
"Why do you keep stealing my drink?" Asks the big Human.
"I didn't steal anything."
"Yes, you did steal my drink." Says the big Human.
"I have it since… mmm… the beginning of this story?"
"The beginning of what?" Demands the big Human.
"Nevermind."
"I don't like your face." Says the big Human.
"Thanks?"
"I should stomp it, it will look better after." Threatens the big Human.
"I don't want to; my face will hurt so much after."
"How did you just call me? I should kick your butt right now." Menaces the big Human.
"I didn't call you anything."
"I'm not anything. I'm done with you, say your prayers lizard." Shouts the big Human.
Suddenly, a flash of light appears behind the big human. From the light, a form appears. It looks like a purple dragonman wearing weird, but exotic clothes.
"Look, a purple dragon!" I point at the Purple Dragonman.
"You really think that I'll fall for this?" Spits the big Human.
"Maybe not, what about this!"
I punch the big Human right in the crotch area. He falls on the floor, and crying in pain.
"See see? You did fall for this!"
The big Human simply grunts before vomiting what he drank before. The Purple Dragonman chuckles after looking at him.
"This was entertaining, but where am I supposed to be?" Asks the purple Dragonman.
"In a village somehow close to Port Marquis."
"In a village? I may have the wrong infos then. At least the device works. It's great news!" Tells the Purple Dragonman.
"May I ask what are you talking about?"
"Mmm… let's say it's a way to travel far far away. I can't tell more about this." Says the Purple Dragonman.
The big Human tries to get up, slowly.
"Hey… hey lizard… Is the big lizard your mom? She looks pretty … in a dress…" Gibbered the big Human.
The Purple Dragonman looks mad. He takes from his pockets some kind of little box with metal pieces on it. Some sparks appears on it. He pushes the box against the big Human and he started howling in pain before laying on the ground, completely stunned.
"I dare you to say that again. Jerk." Declares the Purple Dragonman, before he spits on the big Human.
"This was impressive. Is it some kind of magic device?"
"Magic? Oh, yeah. You call this magic, but I call this Science instead. It's very hard to explain how this thing works exactly.
"Still impressive."
"May I ask you something? Could you show me the way to the nearest capital?" Requests the Purple Dragonman.
"It's Port Marquis. I'm going there too."
"May we travel together then?" Asks the Purple Dragonman.
"Sure, but I would need a night of sleep before going there."
"This could be an idea." He picks the big Human's purse and take out some coins. "A room for me please." Says the purple Dragonman, before he place the coin on the counter.
"May I get your name? So I won't have to refer you as the Purple Dragonman."
"Sure, you can call me Zekiel. And you are?" Asks the Purple Dragonman.
"I'm Soala. I..."
"Nice to meet you Soala, see you tomorrow!" Tells Zekiel, before going to the upper rooms.
He does look like a... special guy. I haven't had the time to ask him more questions. I guess this will be content for a new adventure. I mean story. I mean story adventure, maybe.
