This is a head I built recently and completed some time around october. He's still not totally complete, but he is complete enough to showcase, so I figured I'd post him anyway.
He has a custom realistic jawset that is sculpted, stained and painted by me, a spring-action talk jaw, sculpted eyelids, sculpted lip, tearduct vision, and vented ears.
His nose and eyes are DVC. Eyes painted by me.
His base was sculpted by me from expanding foam. All brushing/shaving work also done by me, and he is furred in a very long-pile "Arctic fox" white.
Errors I made: I attempted to drill out his nostrils in the wrong way and wound up having to leave them closed, so he doesn't have very good ventilation. Basically, if you need a lot of air in him, you just have to prop his mouth open with a small prop. He also has no top jawset and no tongue.
His vision is pretty good, but not as great as I would have liked.
Things I like:
His jaw opens EXTREMELY far due to my open-jaw furring technique, and is very sensitive.
His shaving turned out nicely.
And yes, he is supposed to have a "beard", that's why he has "lines" where the long fur meets the short fur.
