oh i paint them directly on the body unless they are bits of armor because that then gives me an excuse to make some 3d armor bits though i am planning on making and getting some clothing props to cut down on time rendering and blending and try to increase the quality since it does not matter to me how well it fits so long as most of the shape is consistent and the color is right (because i am a bit color blind)
Delightful! You can actually see individual furhairs now, the tails are excellent, Ale's fur patches are nicely done.
I might say too; the fur looks soft. Unlike feral deer, I wrote in my notes that their fur was genetically manipulated to make it hollow-core, instead of solid, as in ferals. That gives it two advantages; one they don't overhead with clothing, and two; it makes it soft. I had a cat with fur so incredibly silky soft she was wonderful to touch.
This is close to what I've seen in my mind all these years when I was designing the Anikawi.
