The girl was as exotic as she could be, wearing a japanese school sailor uniform so common in her country: white blouse with a red sailor collar and matching bow on the front tied with a big diamond faceted garnet, red skirt to the knees and white socks inside very polished black shoes; such attire was exotic on itself inside an American school but she had more than that, her shoulder length hair was a deep crimson on the top, bleaching down to a vibrant orange on the tips, she could have set her hair on fire and would not stand out that much!

-Hi Ringo!- The class received her with chuckles but she did not mind.

-Okay Ringo- The teacher silenced her students with a stern look -Go and take seat, please-

Ringo bowed to her new teacher and bounced off to find a seat under the prying eyes of her new classmates.

-Can you believe that?- Ary whispered to Wendy -What’s with that look?-

-Exotic, I’ll say…- Then she was interrupted.

-Hi! Can I seat here?- It was Ringo, looking at her with the biggest smile possible -What’s your name?!-

-Er… Wendy?-

-Wendy-san! You can call me Ringo-chan!- She sat with a bounce, completely ignoring Ary.

-Hey!- The blonde fumed but the class had begun already.

-I tell you, she’s fishy Wendy-

They were walking back home, a week had passed since Ringo’s arrival and the bubbly, energetic girl did not left Wendy’s side almost all the time, shunting Ary with empty boxes and if there was something the blonde despised was to be ignored, also the cute Japanese seemed more than interested on Wendy and she wanted to know why.

-She’s kinda overwhelming, I know but she’s harmless, I’m sure- Wendy shrugged -At least she gives me a break from Lucy!-

-Trading a fan for another? That’s just great, and there’s the thing with my sapphire…-

-What’s with it?- She pulled the chain of her moonstone.

-Keeps flashing whenever she’s near, don’t tell me your moonstone hasn’t!-

-It’s been flashing all the time now, you know that!- Ary showed her star sapphire.

Suddenly their jewels began to flash in their hands and that very instant Ringo flew along the boardwalk across the street!

-See? Told ya!-

-Damn…- Wendy blew her white fringe -Okay, you try to see if we’re getting another attack and I’ll follow her-

-Not fair! I want to unmask her!- Ary pouted, she wanted to get even.

-No Ary, I’m faster than you, if you don’t find any Ember you can call me easily and I’ll reach you in no-time-

They split, Wendy after Ringo and Ary following her star’s lights looking for trouble.

-Damn! She’s as fast as me!-

She had been following Ringo for a few blocks, barely keeping her in sight when the red haired girl had leaped to a car’s roof, bounced and took hold of an iron railing and hauled herself into a long balcony corridor forcing Wendy to do the same, then they ran upstairs to the upper level and the next ending on the roof from where they rushed and jumped onto the next roof and the next one and just as Wendy got close enough, Ringo jumped off the building!

-Sonofab…- Wendy cursed when she got to the edge and saw the Ringo had bounced safely on a closed dumpster, somersaulted off landing unscathed, taking time to give a wink up before sprinting away.

-Did she just…?- Wendy mused before following the same route, albeit her landing did sunk the container’s lid before jumping on the ground and going after the girl who was not in sight anymore -Shit!-

Ary’s sapphire had led her to an abandoned warehouses’ yard, she reached the middle of it and her star flashed once more before staying still.

-Where are them? No one’s here…-

A low growl made her realize she was not alone, from around the corner of one of the warehouse appeared the rough, heavy figure of an Ember, it’s burning coal-like skin opaque to the sunrays and once it saw the blonde it became much faster, eager to get a prey.

-Oh no, you’re not having me that easy, monster!- Ary gripped her sapphire -Star Power Charge Up!-

Wind rushed around her lifting her body off the ground, her clothes vanished and were replaced by a silver top and bottom combo complete with boots and gloves, a cyan skirt, bow and sailor collar appeared with silver linings and blue stars; silver fur lined her dress as her ears became vulpine and a tail appeared behind her, a gold belt completed her attire.

-Silver Fox Argenta is here!- She shouted before attacking the burning monster.

-Damn, damn, damn!- Wendy cursed as she flew to where her stone was leading her, she had lost Ringo and now she had to catch on Ary, her little spirit friend appeared over her right shoulder.

-Hurry Wendy! Ary’s in trouble!-

-Ack! Blackie how many times do I have to tell you don’t do that?!- She yelled while taking her moonstone.

-Hey! It’s an emergency!- The little wolf spirit retorted -Hurry!-

-Moon Power Charge Up!-

As she ran her clothes disappeared, instantly replaced by a silver top and bottom that were covered by navy blue skirt and sailor collar, boots and gloves protected her limbs and her ear became triangular and furry, black like the tail she sprouted along with fur linings around the suit’s cuffs.

-I’m ready!-

She arrived at the warehouse yard, seeing many Embers surrounding her friend Ary who only by her agility managed to stay safe, they were too much for her! Without wasting time Wendy got to the nearest one and slashed its leg off with a swipe of her claws, when it fell she kicked its head so hard it crumbled on the spot.

-It was time!- The blonde snapped.

-Sorry!-

They gathered back to back and began wreaking havoc among the burning golems, kicks, punches and slashes a plenty quickly reduced most of them to dust but they kept coming and soon the pair saw they were about to be overwhelmed!

-That’s why I wanted to go after her!- Ary said through clenched teeth while delivering some exploding shooting stars.

-Yeah, you maybe wouldn’t lost her as I did! kia!- Wendy smashed open a rocky chest.

-Wait what?!- Ary snapped.

-Watch out!-

They were about to be buried by an avalanche of Ember bodies when a clear, happy yell came from above, everyone paused to see who was coming.

Ringo was standing on top of a warehouse, her flaming hair waving on the air and a smile on her lips.

-I told you she was fishy! She’s the leader!- Ary shook her fist at the girl.

-Oh bummer…- Wendy mused, trying to keep an Ember off her neck.

-Sun Power Charge Up!- Ringo announced and jumped off the roof!

Her sailor uniform vanished in flames being replaced by the same silver combo the girls had but her skirt, bow and sailor collar were a vibrant red like her hair, matching boots with flames covered her feet, her ears became canine and orange furred like the twin tails that appeared behind her! Still in mid air she swiped the air with her hand as she shouted.

-Solar flare!-

A wave of fire shot from her hand and rippled towards the fighters, Wendy and Ary covered themselves with their arms while around them all the Embers roared when the fire consumed them like the coals they appeared to be, when the pair opened their eyes the battle had ended and Ringo landed safely at their side.

-Gomen nasai, sorry for being late! I got lost, being new here and all…- She apologized with a hand behind her head and her tongue tip peeking cutely.

-You!- Ary had the intense desire to choke the girl -You’re one of us? Why didn’t you tell us?-

-It was a secret! I didn’t know which side you had chosen!- Ringo said bowing deeply -I knew your stones but not your hearts, at least, not yours!-

And she clung to Wendy’s arm like a starstruck fan, rubbing her cheek against her suit’s fur.

-O.M.G.- Ary rolled her eyes -And what’s with the twin tails?-

-I’m a kitsune! I’m magical!- Ringo batted her eyelashes.

-And we aren’t because…?-

-Because she’s a real kitsune, Miss Silver Fox- A tiny voice chimed in.

-Who said that?!- Ary backed away, scared.

-Momo! He’s my guiding spirit!- Ringo extended a hand and a tiny ball of orange fire appeared over it, the cute little face of a fox winked mischievously at the girls.

-Oy! Blackie!- Wendy called and the little blue ball showed up too -Who’s that?-

-Well, well… ain’t you an associate from far East?-

-Hai! I’m Momo! Pleased to meet you Blackie!- The flaming tangerine swirled around the blue one.

The little flaming balls danced around for a while before descending to the ground and resuming their corporeal selves, a black wolf cub and a small, orange furred fox; they smelled each other for a while.

-You have too much to explain, Ringo- Wendy crossed her arms, severe.

-Indeed- Ary nodded, fighting the desire to pet the canines.
