Welp, ALMOST finished, though I need to hit bricklink again to get parts to finish the head section, on the plus side it's smaller and less likely to fall over under it's own weight, AND, I can fit minifigs in it!

Lego actually has an official site where you can choose different brick parts. Do a Google search for Lego Pick-a-Brick, or if you go into any official Lego store, they have an ENTIRE BACK WALL of parts. It's like $10 for a small tub or $20 for a larger and you just cram as many as you can into those tubs.
You can also hit bricklink.com which is what I've been doing to get parts that aren't available in specific colours in this year's round of sets. It saves you spending $300 just for ONE piece as opposed to spending $1.50 for a hard to find piece / mini figure, like the Anubis guard, or the Minotaur

Anything to help enable others into the Lego addiction. :D The only reason why I work in Red is because a LOT of parts are made in that colour, it's one of THE first colours Lego used when they started the Lego building system years ago. Even pre-minifig, since minifigs came a bit later.
