Estuary Dragon - December 2010
口龍
Last in the series “The Jade Emperor and the Four Dragons”, the dragon of the Pearl River in China. The Pearl River is one of the most polluted rivers in the world, in this image I wanted to portray this dragons struggle to survive in a changing world. He is an ancient creature, blind and slowly choking but he still finds ways to survive. He resides at the mouth of his river, not daring to enter the sea and leave his home.
Medium:Watercolour and biro on drawing paper
