One of our six Snapping Turtle eggs hatched. My dad saved six Snapping Turtle eggs a few months back from some angry golfers... they where beating the mother with gold clubs. So my dad stepped in picked the mother up and put her in the river near by and went back and saved the eggs and he thought it would be kool to try and hatch them out. We didn't think they would hatch at all because if you don't have the temp just right the eggs die and its been just a bit over the time limit for them hatch. Please Note that they once they are a few weeks old and the yoke sac on there tummy is gone and they are eating right they will be set free back in to the wild.

Oh don't worry I have handled and cared for a baby snapping turtle before for well over a year 3 years ago. this is the first time I have hatched one out of an egg though so i did tons of reading up on them and how to care for them after they hatch before i even thought of really trying to hatch them out.

You'd be wading through endless pages of demented smut drawings to find it, but Deep in my favorites there's a picture of a tiny baby sea turtle in someone's hand.
This person had rescued the poor little guy from some idiot kids on the beach who were whipping him about and catching him. He took it back to the hotel not knowing what to do with it. It had a broken back flipper and a torn front one so he couldn't release it.
He went to the front desk and they were able to contact a turtle rescue agency or something like that and they came and took the poor thing in.

the golfers are always mean to any wild life on the greens sadly they even tried to kill the Canadian Geese that land there to nap,eat and have there young. thankfully the people that lived by and in the city area where not happy with that and spoke up about and the golfers couldn't do what they wanted
that's a nice story, i wish there where more people in the wold that would stop and take the time to lend a helping hand to animals in need.
