yeah some of them do dont they XD but still wendy o is still one of my favorite koopas and the spoiled princess dose seem to be a better fit for bowsers daughter :D shes got that mean personality on top thats makes her a good dominatrix type or a nice in the closet submissive :D haha imagin the fun peach would have with her either way.

Sure. They're going to play 'golf'. Uh huh. That's why they spend so much time together, that's why Mario goes through seven wrong castles before rescuing the Princess every time! I'm sure Mario just has a terrible memory and doesn't actually want to spend 8 times as much time with Bowser as with Peach ;) Hmmm...

The background and foreground segue pretty well together. They don't clash or have different colour palettes. Always enjoy your colour work.
Bowser's expression to me says 'Alright, so I get my ass kicked all the time. But it's a living. It's just a job.' Poor tyrannical fella. He's just trying to raise his kids and bring a little order to the world and he gets his armoured ass wooped by a diminutive plumber with bad facial hair, of all people.
I read somewhere that your friends can always be duplicitous, have ulterior motives, but an enemy is always honest with you. He's always out to destroy you, his intentions are plain. You always know where you stand. And, to be fair, they've been going at this for what, 20 years now? They've gotta have at least a little rapport going on between them.
Peach, as usual, looks very sweet. You do such good Peaches. I like how she looks a little concerned for Bowser.

It took a bit of color adjusting to get the background and foreground to mix the way it does but I'm glad to hear my strange artsy idea worked.
Relaly the background was going to be the same either way I did it, just blocks and colums, but I do have a love of putting sprites together, so I threw them in for some extra flashback retro flavoring.

I think it works pretty well. It definitely grounds the piece in 8-bit gaming. I know you can do the mushroom kingdom game-scape justice in pencil, as we saw with Birdo (why did you give Birdo a great ass?) but this links the two together really nicely. The pixelated backgrounds and the drawn, damaged floor foreground just work well. It's an interesting stylistic choice and you pulled it off nicely. It gives a little something extra to the composition and I like it.

ROFLMAO! Of course they're friends! Every set of good friends fight over a girl once in awhile and try to do everything they can together. Look at all the times he's kdnapped Peach but you see how Mario and Bowser still go playing gold, tennis, baseball, go-karts and other racing... hell, he's even had Mario do Homework and play a Table-top RPG along with the princess, a marshmellow and a possessed wooden doll!
Of course, there IS the Super Smash Bros. series... but hey, even sometimes friends will bitch-slap each other.

The Smash Bros. series has shown that Peach can kick some serious ass. Yet Bowser is able to kidnap her without any trouble.
But despite Bowser's constant evil deeds, he is always invited to friendly go-kart races, along with tennis, golf, baseball, soccer, basketball, etc. Not to mention that they sometimes partner up in the RPGs.
I think the real reason is that it's just a big circle of fetishes. Bowser has a power fetish, and enjoys controlling people and taking them against their will. Peach has a "damsel in distress" fetish, and gets off on having someone come and rescue her from a monstrous beast. And Mario has a hero complex in that he feels empty inside unless he's out saving someone. Therefore they all get together and organize these fetish parties that end up being portrayed in the games. That's why they're able to be friends outside of these adventures.

Nah. Daisy is Luigi's girl. And Birdo is... I guess Yoshi's "girl." Which is probably the only gay relationship in Nintendo history. I mean, we all know Birdo is genetically male, despite thinking or pretending it's female. And Yoshi is presumed to be a male. Hot, gay dinosaur action.
I too have noticed the steady out pouring of "Mario Characters" as of late. Koopa and Birdo mostly. I guess the Pokemon phase is over? Koopa/Pokemon fever...never caught it.

Well, some time back on a Wednesday, they deemed lizard and dragon kind furry. The fanbase seems to have swallowed them up making it furry/scaly to an extent.
Though, my question is what happened to the koopa kids? Screw junior, I liked Roy, Morton, Ludwig, and the bunch!
