You know that you've created a fantastic art piece when a viewer of said work can recognize the species of animal instantly without having to look at the title. That was the case with this picture!

I knew that this was a Great Northern Loon as soon as I saw the thumbnail and that utterly distinctive black and white patterning that is characteristic of this species plumage.

Brilliant work Plague! (And if I'm not mistaken, this is the first time I've EVER seen someone paint an anthro Loon, so props for that also!) :)

I'm glad you were able to recognize it! It was definitely my first time drawing a great northern loon. I have to say that the pattern on them is so stunning I was kind of shocked I had never seen anyone with a loon character before!
