Kono was born with his mom and dad but one day his parents went to search for some food and never came back. The cub was stranded in a cave alone with no one around to help. After a day of cold and hunger for the infant talyxian, a sergal known as Ren Akuna stumbled upon his cave seeking shelter. As he entered, the sergal heard the talyxian's cries of distress. Ren investigates the noise and, to his surprise finds the baby Talyxian curled up, alone and apparently abandoned. Ren cautiously approached the cub, sniffing the air and lookign around for any evidence that it was being cared for, finding none. Ren gingerly picks up the crying talyxian cub, taking out some dried meat from his pack, feeding it to the talyxian. The cub voraciously tears the meat apart, purring loudly in appreciation. The baby nuzzles into Ren, the sergal smiling down at him in reply. Ren cradles the baby talyxian "You must be all alone little one. Well don't worry, I am too. I know how you feel." The baby sniffles softly and tears up. Ren rubs the tears off with a thumb and adds "Well you're not alone anymore. I'll take care of you." The baby tilts his head and smiles softly "Well little buddy I'll name you.... Kono" Kono grins understandingly and curls up in Ren's arms purring softly. Ever since that day Ren and Kona were best friends and each of them always looked out for the other. Through bright and dark times alike, the pair of them never had to feel alone again as long as they had each other.
