This was absolutely fantastic, Shane, no doubt about it. I remember Julian's tweets well, and I can place in my head when replies happened on twitter, and just about where those replies would have made Julian's pocket buzz. His shock at just how many siblings Alfie actually had, the Norwich's shock at his piercings and tongue, and just HOW cute that final scene with Colin was.
Good work, Shane, good work.
Good work, Shane, good work.
As with a lot of good stories, the whole thing started spiraling out of a little idea. It was just a silly little thing where Julian was helping Alfie set up for Halloween, and it blew up into this big ol' tale and helped us do some development on everyone! Glad you liked it, and make sure to spread some love to Harlow for all the work he did with sort of "calibrating" the story properly. Guy had quite a few drafts to work with. XD
XDD It DOES seem unlike me, doesn't it.
But actually, I love all of your stories. It's just that this one in particular just grabs me in a way, just like the Christmas one. (Is totally biased due to being my 2 favorite holidays)
With this, what I love about it is that Alphonse is actually ENJOYING the holiday cheer. He's willingly being apart of all of the celebration, and that he's actually excited to get his family geared up for what is to be one of the most memorable moments of their lives.
See, you and pac make liars out of us when we say that you just crush our feels. Next time someone says that you should just shove this story in their faces!
And the last bit with Alfie and Colin, that was just perfect!

Stupid, second-rate, French knock-off of Zack at Christmas. Terrible >:C
But what can I say other than... thank you for letting me in on this project :)
Despite all the bad Julian was told about Alfie, regardless if it was bad press or all the "socializing" crash courses the Kahunas surely want thru with the new guys, he really wanted to treat Alfie... like a normal guy. The lightheartedness sure seemed alien for some, who seem to treat him as a costy artifact who would break at any instance, but, with all the past aside, the dog would treat him like everyone else regardless of background; treat like like... one of the guys, somethig those two had lacked in some points of their lifetime.
I did struggle a bit on just how reactive and blockheaded Alfie would be. Obviously not as much as the first stories, but it is all tiptoeing around him. Will he blow up if? What if that? Something both IC and OOC to ponder, and it's great he welcomed someone in his house and into his family. Guessing it's the first time? (SYC excluded, and Wilmer was just recieved, but never let in.) Alfie has grown a lot, they all did.
Again, big thank you for making this, really happy with the outcome and what a lovely ending. Alfie has a rookie he can trust, and Julian has a bud that won't mind his weirdness too much.
Now to see if he regrets the Twitter lessons... ._.

DAWWWW!!!!!!!
Good to see Alfie opening up a bit more with Julian. I can imagine him smiling and giggling in the store like a little kid! Loved the scene where Alfie's truly perplexed by Julian's distance from his family, and Julian's reaction to all the little ratlings running around. I guess herding rats is just as difficult as herding cats! Stephen is such a little bastard, LOL LOL! That kid needs to get into pee wee soccer or rugby, where he can blow off some aggression in a good way. The scene with Colin was so ! Any chance Pac could work up a sketch of all the little ones in their costumes or passed out in a heap from chocolate overload?

I really do love this story, from Julian introducing Alfie to twitter and finding out how tight-knit the whole family is, to Alfie being worried at first about the family...but finding out everything turned out fine for Halloween.
Also, that little bit with Colin. So much happy feels from that. \o/
An' plenty of laughs too from the "Ya put it up backwards" scene.
Finally, I'm very curious on how Julian's Shane Rufus getup looked, and dare I ask how amusing it was in finding Alfie's headshot for twitter? X3
