I think this version is good as-is...someone with nearly frostbitten toes isn't likely to get excited about exposing other even more sensitive little pokey bits to the elements.

Nice. I like the awkwardness of that forced intimacy. I could certainly see it hesitantly leading elsewhere, but I could also see that developing later on in another scene, building on the emotions and events of this one.

Exactly. The seeds are there, but need more time . . . besides, like so many things, i suppose getting there is half the fun ;)

For me, this was a nice relationship story. The last moment brought an equal amount of “oh-my-goodness” eternal romantic inclinations and “throw-me-up” cynical attributes.

This is a personal conflict I have yet to resolve. I love to love romance on paper, it often gives me a floating sensation, but paper words rarely translate so fluidly into real life…hence, cynical attributes slamming me to the ground with a solid thud.

Excellent work on the accurate description of being violated by the bitterly cold wind. As someone who is often out in such weather, I appreciate it!

Quite charming. Even humoristic, although frozen toes aren't a nice thing to have. Your touch on the characters is very good, even in a short piece like this their personalities is brought out pretty well. Checked your userpage for your little timeline, I think I am not familiar with the characters, you have not used them in the previous Thursday Prompt responses, have you? Well, whatever the situation, I enjoyed the story, it is well written and entertaining. Great little piece.

the characters are involved in other stories of Passgate that sort of outgrew my time to work on them. The development you hint at is probably because i have more history and story in mind when i write for Rose and Andrew, but because it has not been posted here it may be a bit confusing . . . again, an out of order bit that crystalized in response to a prompt . . . if i get back into doing prompts regularly, i suppose it will all come out eventually :P

Ah, that explains it. I have been really impressed by your stories, it's shame you don't post more. Not to put pressure on you, you write if and when you can, but these stories just seem so interesting and while it's great to know you have more to tell, it would be great to actually read more.

Anyway, the stories have been great, but as I checked your gallery, I noticed there is only one Thursday Prompt response I haven't read from you and after that I have read them all. Pity, in a way. Also, the steady stream of feedback is going to cease. As I am a writer, well, a sort of a writer, I know it feels good to know there are actually someone other than myself who enjoyes my stories. But, one more to read. I'm looking forward to read it.
