I had a hard time deciding between this one and this other camera angle.
I like the scrap image's lighting better, but I think this one hides the models deficiencies a little better. There's still so much left to do on this model, topology-wise. The arms require better shaping, among other things. Still, it's coming along nicely. I hope to begin building a new shader network and textures for the model sometime in the next couple of months, but it could easily stretch into the next half-year. Relying on basic Ambient Occlusion is getting kind of old, but at least the results look better than a flat old Lambert!
Some times you just gotta take time out and have some fun! This little bit of fun had some practical uses too, allowing me to get a feel for the boundaries of what the model was capable and give me a chance to experiment with lighting. But, it was a lot of fun to play around with, too!
