The soulsucker, despite the name, can do more than just devour souls. Souls and bodies both, he'll happily eat, but he can't handle them together. Not physically strong enough, even with all the people he's absorbed into himself.

So yeah. If you've read Nom!'s backstory, you might recognize this as Sabra. But wait, wasn't he cursed to be sealed inside the temple, you might ask? Well, yes. Unfortunately, he can project himself out into the halls and wander around, and he can also absorb the strength and bodies of adventurers. At this point, and in the game, he's recovered enough strength that he's a threat. Not just to adventurers, but to the other creatures in the Temple, should he gain enough strength back to reform himself.
