Headlights stare at the path ahead,
And golden reflectors peer back in dread;
Blurry signs wave in warning to slow down,
But you know better than to stay in town.
Sirens wail their red and blue,
As they close in on you,
but you’ve not to worry – you’re not their quarry;
They’ve bigger concerns to attend to.
Discord drums in the street,
Banging pots and marching feet;
Dread of disease is itself a sickness,
That spreads with unnerving quickness.
Hungry fellows stalk neighbors in the night,
And commit their felonies by camera light,
Pitching another log into the fire,
and stirring the embers red and bright.
The whole world is poised the catch aflame -
And rather than put out the fire, they point and blame.
Reason cries out they stop - instinct implores them on;
Heat and hormones and another red dawn.
A remastered masterwork by
wolfbrother9393 - the original submission can be found here .
This piece was doubly inspired by
fauxlacine - who crafted 'Cityscape' .
Although I have long since changed the trajectory of Sofia's story, I always loved that particular piece - and decided to rework the description to reflect some of the events of her ongoing story in "Dog Eat Dog". I feel the tones of uncertainty and desperation are just as accurately captured in the audio as they were for the original macro-inspired piece.
I highly encourage you to check out her story as well as Galileo's webpages and audio-portfolio. You can find them at;

I had considered keeping both stories going - but I feel that many people do not read any of the descriptions or story elements and only the pictures.
Macro Sofia and her normal size counterpart have very different personalities and reasons for what they do. even if superficially, they seem to both be destructive titans. I was concerned that allowing both stories to proceed side by side would dilute my audiences attention, confuse them and ruin the appeal of both.
Perhaps when Sofia's story is finished I will go back and do the macro one.

I honestly don't get how people don't read the story elements connected to pics. I guess that's just the writer/reader in me that helps me distinguish different elements on characters and backgrounds. Your story descriptions definitely add to the scope of what's happening and make you connect in some ways. They are definitely some of my favorites.
As for the possibility of continuing Macro Sofia's story later... EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
