Species: Jophiel
Homeworld: Kylat
Average Height: 6'
Allignment: Heavily Spiritual
Diet: Omnivorous
The Jophiel are one of the less numerous species of the Azure Wheel galaxy and are seen mostly as a species of space mystics.
Their unusual appearance combines both peacock and fox; both males and females having features similar to vulpines, but covered in colorful feathers. Both genders have high crests, long feathered tails that almost completely hides a bushy fox tail and wings on their backs like angels.
Their homeworld of Kylat is often seen as a technological fairy tale. While they build modern cities, the landscape of the planet is pastoral with a lilac colored sky and fields of blue grass. The night sky of Kylat is very beautiful as well, with an emerald green nebula creating a stunning light show.

More on this species later, since they're still in the early stages of development.
I've been playing around more with an alternate coloring style. I'm pretty happy with it, but I still have a bit to go before I'm fully comfortable with it.
The Jophiel are based on the Angha, a creature from Persian mythology that combines features of dog, lion and peacock. They also happen to be one of my favorite mythical beasts, so I had to add them into my galaxy somewhere. :p
(Aliens based on mythical beasts exist in my galaxy because of some bio engineering done by ancient humans long ago)

Well, the Angha is one of the good ones. An example of weaponised races to Inflict upon another in a war is the Al-Miraj, which looks for all the world like a cousin of the Jackalope, or a Bunnycorn. a Rabbit with a Unicorn's horn from it's forehead. however, these are pure evil, with the sole function of spreading disease where ever they go, in addition, death does not still the pestilence power of the Al-Miraj's horn, after death they are cut from the dead, and used to smite the living after death. whether or not the race continued to do this after coming to sentience is of course up to you and the rest of the Azure wheel...
