-->> ; A long time in the early 1990s .. like 1991 - on i used to make allot of illustrations and drawings of a very lanky, purple coloured alley - cat mutant.
Later i'd dress him a Ninja outfit very reminiscent of Shredder's Elite Guard.
His tail had a retractable, flaming arrow shaped blade at the end of a chain that he could use as a weapon similar to the effect of a sickle and chain.
He was kind of a cross between Sonic the Hedgehog& Lady Deathstryke. He was very stealthy and could use his retractable claws as weapons just like Deathstryke or Logan.
Heavily influenced by the now classic and in it's own right iconic TMNT story arc City At War. Jim Lawson's work in particular helped establish allot of dynamic sh8t i never tried before back in cartoon school. ( However.. each artist that has worked with Mirage has influenced me in very different and unique ways including those turbulent 90s..so it's all apples, oranges and grape juice. ).
But i think at this particular time i recall being very obsessed with C.A.W., TMNT volume 2, and some of most radical of all the Foot ninja.. The Elite.
They remain some of my favourite of all.
I think about this character allot. And even started an articulated sculpture of him by the time i got to college, but didn't ever finish it.
At some point i may be able to come back to him or even introduce him into the Spaze Caze @ http://www.terrible2z.com/spaze-caz.....ic/archive.htm
We'll see. But yeh i guess this was my first real ' Furry '.
