Bio
Marlene was born and raised in Washington DC but she and her family made many short trips to visit their family, and ancestral home, in Egypt. She was the only daughter of a pair of Egyptologists who worked at the Smithsonian Museum. She took an immediate liking to the history of her families ancient lands and soon studied to follow in her parents footsteps. She later graduated from Notre Dame with a degree in archaeology. Her life took a turn for the worst and the bizarre during one of these visits when a young cousin, by accident, broke one of her grandmothers “scared” urns. In the next few days the whole family began to have the worst luck imaginable. Accidents and injuries began to pile up at a truly frightening rate. The family was then visited by a roving fortune teller who told them that a powerful curse had been set upon the family and that they would all be dead within a year, that the urn had contained the curse and now they we’re all doomed. Marlene took the information with a grain of salt until she studied some of her deceased grandmother’s dairies and artifacts. She learned that her family was descended from the royal guards of the last Pharaoh Cleopatra , and that they had raided the royal treasure vaults as the Romans had concurred the lands of Egypt, thus one of the last of the royal wizards had put a curse of mis-fortune upon the family. It was only after studying several of her grandmother’s jewels that she felt their mystical power and began to believe in the curse. In desperation she began to study old and arcane texts looking for any way to reverse or undo the curse, it was in these efforts that she met the traveling pair or Kathrine Laveau and Professor Jamal. Telling the pair of her woes she was surprised when Laveau told her she knew of a way to counter the curse but it would involve a sacrifice on the part of Marlene. Desperate since she sensed that the curse was coming close to killing her family she readily agreed to pay any price. Kathrine then reveled herself as Voodoo Vixen and sealed the curse within Marlene herself saving the hound’s family from the curse but turning her into Voodoo Vixen’s willing servant. Marlene now calling herself Accursed serves as Voodoo Vixen’s willing accomplice, to do otherwise would, she believes, unleash a killing curse on her family.

POWERS:
Accursed can use the power of the curse to turn herself into a living mummy. With enhanced strength, mystical powers, and invulnerability.

WEAKNESS:
Accursed can only hold her mummy form for a short time, without it she is a normal furson with normal weaknesses.

PERSONALITY:
Accursed is subservient to Voodoo Vixen thanks to the spell locking the curse within herself. If she betrays the Vixen of Voodoo then the curse will be unleashed. She is demur and shy, but does have a wild side she sometimes lets out.
