This is my workhorse in my analog tube ENG/EFP camera fleet. This is a Ikegami ITC-730A "industrial" camera.
The ITC-730A was the "budget" heavy duty camera that was the "little brother" of the HL-79 family. Introduced around 1981/2 the ITC-730 was lighter and used either HB8399 "Saticon II' pickup tubes (A Variant) or the S4083 Plumbicon (AP variant). My example here uses Saticon tubes. Compared to other industrial cameras (like the JVC Ky-1900), the ITC-730 was considerably better built, with a Canon prism splitter and heavy duty magnesium body. This example I have is one of two that I own- both camera bodies that I obtained after a late friend of mine passed away.
For a long time I felt they were "never good enough" since I always wanted a Plumbicon based HL-79, but now with "Cameragate" and a useless -79, I've come to really warm up to this camera, a real workhorse that'll fire up without complaint.
