Well, the interesting part...
It's a mess... A real mess in there. Oh god I am dreading the cleaning and organizing I need to do. But here is the beginnings of Chernobyl. So far he looks like.... umm... where is he?
OH! WAIT!
He is in the form of Aluminum plate (under the hammers) and the aluminum rod, and a bronze bar...
BRONZE?! WHA?
Well... after forming the aluminum head with the vice.. hammers... sandbag and teardrop mallet... I will have to form the jaw. The jaw will be made out of more aluminum plating, along with the bronze bar, and aluminum rod soldered to the aluminum plate. The bronze goes in the head and will get a 3mm hole drilled in the exact center. The bronze section gets put into a hole drilled in the headform plate, and the jaw rod goes through the bronze.
Why use bronze at the pivot?
Because Bronze is a good bushing. I plan to lubricate the bronze bushing with some 3M Silicone Paste, and over time it might need lubrication, but it SHOULD provide a nice, low wear, low friction surface for the jaw to work off of!
Notice how fucked up of a fursuit builder I am too... What fursuit builder, in their right mind, has a vice AND a sewing machine on the same desk? and builds fursuits with some percussive engineering?
