The following drive was recovered from site forty-eight hours after contamination leak.
It provides a detailed, graphic report of events leading up to, during and after the incident.
”This is Caramel Myers documenting for research and development on board Chimera station. It is currently twenty-two hundred hours local system time and this is my ninth recording”
Accompanying CCTV footage matched up with the timeline of events shows Ms. Myers speaking into a small, hand-held device within her living quarters aboard the station.
“The boys in maintenance spent their day trying to implement a work-around for the display units around the station. Some bug in the code glitched the system, rendering the units inoperable. It’s amazing how quickly morale drops when the people here aren’t fooled into believing we’re working in the middle of a meadow, or on a beach. The cold, hardness of the void outside will cause shoulders to slump which will affect the work we’re trying to accomplish here.”
A few days pass between entries.
“Strange, well-dressed man delivered something to weapons development earlier. Caught sight of him whilst on my way to the break room. Wore a faded blue suit, jet black hair that was curled upwards and then slicked straight back, not an inch out of place. There was an emptiness to him that chilled me. I swear he knew I was looking at him the entire time, but it was as if he was acting oblivious to me.”
“Arrived at the lab, can’t quite put the man out of my head. What kind of sample requires a personal delivery like that? I don’t like it.”
CCTV footage shows Ms. Myers speaking into her device while walking around in the lab. Time-stamp shows a day has passed.
“It’s all being kept very hush-hush. Yes I know, this makes, what, the third entry I’ve been prattling on about the sample or whatever it was. I ask questions, I’m told not to ask them, I investigate on my own time and I’m mothballed. I don’t get it. This is starting to impact my work…”
Footage displays Ms. Myers running her fingers through her hair, in obvious distress. The subsequent entry occurs five minutes after sample leak.
“I knew it. I bloody knew it! Weapons development were in over their heads with this one, should have realised that when they got their precious sample from such a strange being. Now I’m here in the cafeteria of all places on lockdown because of a contamination leak. Five minutes gone already and I’m… wait… what is…”
Surveillance feed shows Ms. Myers approaching one of the sealed blast doors as she places the recording device in the breast pocket of her lab coat, fortunately leaving it set to record.
“I can’t… can you even hear me through this stupid door? I can’t open it! The system is on automatic lockdown if there’s a leak! Oh my God… what is that thing?! No, no no no! Run! What is it?!”
Ms. Myers claps her hands to her face and screams as the – unseen – party is engulfed by the sample. The victim’s face is pressed helplessly against the blast door, screaming silently while the sand-coloured material absorbs its prey.
Ms. Myers is seen backing away from the door, shaking her head as the slimy, viscous material begins to ooze into what can only be assumed to be microscopic gaps in the frame of the blast door.
“Oh my God… oh my God… oh my God…”
Ms. Myers begins to demonstrate classic signs of traumatic stress. Her body trembles. Tears fall from her eyes. She whimpers helplessly as she realises she is trapped in the cafeteria with a monster.
“I can’t… what are you… a-ahh… you ate… please don’t… don’t eat me…”
Hyperventilation occurs as Ms. Myers is unable to speak without gasping. The colour drains from her face as the creature begins to rise and mass itself together, forming a large, blobular state which towers over the Vixine.
Ms. Myers is seen looking up slowly, her gasping panting slows as she realises what is about to happen to her.
The sand-coloured slime crashes violently over her body. A single terrified scream emerges before it is muffled. Ms. Myers can be seen pressed against the floor of the cafeteria, her limbs flailing and stretching fiercely in all directions while the sample merely pulls her deeper. The device placed in Ms. Myers’ pocket flies free in the ensuing struggle, recording her final, gurgling moments as she is devoured whole, absorbed utterly.
The footage continues to roll, showing the creature shudder in place, jiggling in random spasms as it begins to take on a familiar shape.
A Vixine form emerges, birthed by the transformation. Its lower body remains blobular, dripping and oozing slickly over the floor as a lab coat forms around its upper body, followed by a green undershirt.
A striking resemblance to Ms. Myers can be seen on the creature’s body-type and facial features in addition to the clothes it wears. It is of the opinion that the sample found pleasure in Ms. Myers’ taste and wished to pay tribute to her through this act of copying.
The creature tilts it head, a sad smile fixed to its face as it looks upon its hands and shudders, moving much like a slug would, the sample then stretches its limb, elongating it, in order to pick up the device used by Ms. Myers to record her thoughts.
“So scared. So… so scared.”
The sample whimpers, speaking into the device. Later research would match this recording to Ms. Myers’ voice tone completely.
“Help. I need… help please… Oh… God.”
Sample tilts its head once more before placing the device back upon the floor. Surveillance footage rolls on, the blast doors lifting with a violent hiss. The facility can no longer detect a contamination leak due to the sample restructuring itself with the absorption of Ms. Myers. The creature, curious by the opening of the way, oozes out of the cafeteria.
Ninety percent of staff are devoured over the course of the next two hours. The remnants barricade themselves inside of an isolated section of the station awaiting rescue.
Here we have an idea that was created thanks to the creative mind of
Eclairtalon , who has contributed his writing talents to the description story. What can I say? I love his style, and I can't thank him enough for putting his spin on a picture created from a scenario made by him to begin with. It was fun to create, and a pleasure to read the story, which I share with all of you! Enjoy, and thanks again, bro!

This story certainly does make for familiar reading I have to say!
I'm glad I finally got around to putting the story together! Once I got going it was easy enough to carry on until I finished!
As nice as I think the story is your accompanying artwork really helped bring the character to life bro. I'll always enjoy getting creative with you and seeing what comes of that.
Thank you once again for drawing this, let it be the first of many. ^^

I truly enjoy putting our heads together to create little things like this. You say you can't draw (though I'm not so sure about that xD), and I know I cannot write with the terrific style that you have, so the pairing of our skills can have some great outcomes! I've always enjoys the ideas that come from your mind, bro, and I do look forward to seeing what other neat ideas are in there! Pleasure working with you as always!
