Some other people have started to talk more and more about Contests in the PCAverse so figured I'd show a largely unedited version of a Contest thing I did over the summer with some people in RP. Now, this is how I did it. Feel free to use it as a guideline. If you have another idea go for it. But, I wanted to give some people an example if they're looking for how things might run. Feel free to ask questions if you have any.

<Soon enough the lights go down as the curtain parts and the crowd cheers. A Starmie of all things dressed rather spectacularly walks onto the stage to more cheers>
<Bruce> Goooooooood evening, Lillycove! And welcome to those watching us from around the globe I...am Bruce Star and you are watching Contest Night in Hoenn!
: <Riou>...*blinks* A Starmie?
<Ryuen> Nice duds.
*Nigel raises a brow in intrigue and pops a few Gold gummies into his mouth*
<Bruce> Tonight we have a series of different levels of Tough contests sure to leave you quivering in amazement! Without further adieu, let's get started with the Amateur level! <The crowd cheers> The contests at this level are fairly simple. Around each contestant will be set up a series of obstacles for them to break through. The contestants will have thirty seconds to destroy each of the objects in as creative a way as they can!
<Riou>...This should be fairly interesting.
<Ryuen> Really now? And here I thought it would be some flexing contest or something...
<Riou> *rolls his eyes* These are Contests Ryu-chan. They televise these.
<Nigel> Again I say, Ryuen. Biggest. Contest Hall. *In the continent*.
<Bruce> First up is a resident of Lillycove here! He's a returning competitor as he won during our last round of Tough contests. Give it up for Rocco Slice! <And with that a rather small looking Geodude makes his way to the middle of the area and bows to the crowd>
<Nigel> ...............................
<Ryuen> How would I know? I hardly watch TV nowadays! I'm usually on the Pokenet mucking about with friends or hanging out with the lot of you!
<Nigel> ......*no*.
<Riou>...wait...did he say Rocco?
*Ryuen twitches his ears at the mention of Rocco and peers up at the Geodude* You got to be pulling my bloody tail!
<Rocco is a different Rocco, though there is a family resemblance. He'll take his stance in the middle of what appears to be a series of targets of various materials set up around him Bricks, boards, a plate glass window or two each of them looking reinforced like it won't be anyone who can really slice through them. The timer will start and the small but powerful Geodude will spring into action. Rocks begin to swirl around him as they raise up from the stage, the Geodude moving them as a conductor working with an orchestra. They'll hover and spin around his form making several shapes and designs with them. Mere seconds before the timer ticks down he throws his arms out to the sides as the chunks of earth go flying and shatter reach of the barriers with seemingly no force. The horn sounds for the end as the crowd erupts!>
<Riou> Hm...that was rather interesting, I would've never thought of that.
<Ryuen> Oooo...nice!
<Bruce will come back out as the cleanup crew gets to work> Rocco Slice everyone! Give it up for the returning champ! <More cheers echo from the crowd> Next up is someone who's been around a few times. He's in from the Sinnoh region...everyone give a warm welcome to Victor! <With that an Arbok makes its way out onto the stage and in the middle of the newly restored obstacles, The Arbok won't give much of an acknowledgement to the crowd as he'll settle himself in between the objects to be destroyed. A hard driving rock beat will kick up as he quickly goes into motion when the timer starts. He starts off by bouncing a couple of Sludge Bombs off various surfaces and through the boards of wood, easily cutting through them. Slithering over to where the bricks are he'll wrap his body around them and constrict himself closed, crushing them into dust in seconds. Soon the only obstacle left are the plate glass panes setting himself up behind them he'll flare out his hood and Glare at them. The plate glass will start to quiver and shake before finally shattering moments before the horn goes off for the end, and causing the crowd to roar in approval>
<Ryuen> Whoa...nice finisher!
<Nigel> *popping another gummi in* Indeed! See what'd I tell you, Ryuen?
<Ryuen> Ok ok...it wasn't what I expected! So sue me for being so sheltered!
<Bruce> That was Victor! Everyone give it up! <And the crowd shows its approval> Next up is a kid doing his first Contest...hailing all the way from the Orange Islands! Give it up for Vincent Tellamapolou!
*Ryuen was just about to pop a miltank dud in his mouth until he hears Vince's name and that little morsel slips away from his fingers...only to be caught by his legs in quick reflex* Guh-huh???
<Riou> Wait, what?!
<Nigel> --the bloody...?
<Riou> *winces* Eddie-chan is never going to let us hear the end of this.
<Sure enough out walks Vince dressed up more like he's getting ready to do a Poli ceremony of some kind than he is for a contest. He settles himself in between reach of the obstacles while in each hand he holds a three foot stick of some kind. Soon as the horn sounds the sticks flame up at the ends as a tribal beat starts to play. Soon enough he's twirling the sticks along as he starts his routine. Shuffling over towards one of the boards he tosses one of the sticks into the air as he Rock Smashes through the board. Catching the stick he dances his way over to the other board to repeat the process as two of the obstacles are destroyed. Continuing his routine he'll toss up the sticks and catch them before flinging them at the brick barriers in quick succession and shattering them in a fiery display. As time ticks down he finishes by going into a few Poli Slap dance motions before he swings his arms forward while they engulf in water. They shatter through the plate glass with a well placed Waterfall seconds before the horn sounds signaling the end.>
<Riou>...Now I'm wishing I had signed up now. I've had such a good idea.
<The crowd will cheer as Bruce comes out> Vincent Tellamapolou, everyone! Give it up! <Vince will wave as he makes his way off the stage, looking like he's breathing a bit>
Next up we have...<And with that a series of five other contestants will come and go, each one giving a brilliant display of destruction. What's amazing to think is that this is only the amateur level>
*Even Nigel has to clap along in stunned appreciation for the show. Tough contests were never his thing but he knows skill when he sees it. "I'm almost thinking the same thing, Riou. Amost."
<Riou> Oh well...there's always another time. *he claps along with everyone else*
<At the end of it all Bruce will make his way out> And now the moment we've all been waiting for! The judges have made their decisions on the winners! But first, another round of applause for our contestants! <More cheers from the crowd as Bruce hams it up> In third place....the new kid...Vincent! Tellamapolou! <Applause as Vincent makes his way out on stage with a wave as he takes his spot on the stage> In second place! The tentacle wonder Eric! Zooka! <An Octillery that'd destroyed all the barriers in a single twirling attack makes his way out to applause> And the winner of the amateur level! And receiving an invitation next time to participate in the next level of contest! Rocco Slice! <The Geodude comes out and takes his trophy. He'll shake hands with both Vince and Eric before the three walk off stage and Bruce intros the next level of Tough Contestants>
*Ryuen gets up and whooos for Vince in typical Prestidigitation cheer: Whoops and wolf-whistles*
*Nigel's cheer isn't as flamboyant as the Espeon's but it does have heart as he stands right up and claps on loudly.
*Riou does a polite clap now, standing up*

12 wouldn't be a bad idea and just there for showing off appropriate contest ties. Maybe have a slot below the move name area to show what contest type it ties to in case they want to do contests in other venues. For example, Vince does Tough and Cool contests, so he has moves for both, if that makes sense.
