I strongly urge you to wait for the GOTY editions; based on what I'm reading and watching, it's shorter than BL2 and that 90% of the quests are:

fix this
it's broken
repeat 5 more times while going over a boring map with no enemies or fast travel/vehicles
mission


That's a good principle with any game; always wait for the special edition in 6 months-1 year and you can get all the content for like $20
