I remember watching the wall being chipped away on TV, seeing all the Trabants flood over from the GDR.
It was a fascinating scene, watching from the US. I sat there astounded at what I was seeing, thinking; 'Wow, the Berlin wall has fallen!!!" I seem to recall I had a night* off from work and I watched the news till late.
