Comparison shots I made for Snow of the guardsmen I have been converting lately (which shall eventually become an army of mine)
As you can probably guess by their camo pattern, their trimmed to Urban Warfare. I added a few other improvised details to seperate them a litle from other guard regiments, like shortening the las-rifles and adding selfmade reflex sights.
None of the pictures showcase the army as I envision it in its completeness, but it does include all the important parts, so enjoy, all you converter geeks =^-^=

Some good looking guardsmen. A lot of people have trouble painting camo.
For ruined city bases, one of the things you can try is adding some mangled bits of sprue to the base in addition to flocking with dirt. The added "rubble" can really help your guys look at home in a ruined city.

Yeah, then they figure out how soft and squishy their infantry is and bulk out with atleast a Russ. The only infantry heavy army I've ever seen for the IG was two full platoons, a heavy support platoon a hell hound nine sentinels and more support squads than you could shake a stick at it seemed like. The player did good, but even 4+ saves aren't going to save you all the time.
Nah, the rifle was actually just included for comparison purposes...one of the newer ones actually carries an even shorter version of hte rifles for tank-crews X3
They eye-sights are just mounted on the helmet, I made a character with the helmet off for showcase...
