This is just a revision of a drawing I did several years ago for the Remembrance day. In case the viewers aren't sure what this drawing meant to be. I was born in Taiwan also known as "The Last Bastion of Republic of China", hence I am honouring the Veterans of Republic of China who fought in WW2. Without them, I would not be here.

I just realised I never did show you the 88th Reorganized Division I made for Bolt Action as promised, so here it is: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22916877/
Heya and thank you for dropping by. As far as I know the Republic troops didn't have a standard issued sub-machinegun because some of the arm embargo practiced against us. Instead we uses M712 Schnellfeuer and its Xanxi Varient (shares same calibre ammunition as Tommy guns which is also used by Republic of China)
Since getting supply for Tommy Gun was rather difficult, our troops made great use of the Broomstick and showed rather impressive result before and during WW2.

Well, with a Stock the M712 Schnellfeuer Pistol was as good as a SMG. But I know that the M712 was produced in license by China. In good quality to speak the truth.
But the due to contracts did the Chinese Army used a lot of weaponry and equipment of german origin, all produced in china, licensed by german companies like Mauser and Walther.

Yeah. Basically our Type 24 is the predecessor of Kar98K. We contracted the Mauser to make us a rifle based upon Gwer 98 used during WW1 and Type 24 was the result. However the engineers also discovered a few problems that come with length of barrel vs gun flash (relate to the bullet weight). These problem was solved with the Kar98K. Simply put Chinese National Army was a "test bed" of German technology until the war broke out.
Several battlefield and countries served as a kind of test bed for german military weaponry and equipment.
Btw, I am just watching the Mobie "1911 - Revolution" (mandarin: Xīnhài Gémìng)
A movie from 2011 about the Xinhai-Revolution in 1911. Have you watched it in the past?

As for the Kar98k, you might find it entertaining. The weapon type was actually created after the Verseilles Contract stated that the German Nation was no longer permitted to produce the longer Gew98 Rifles. They deemed those more dangerous at that time. Same countes for the Austrian Steyr M95 Rifle, which was only produced in its Carbine variant after 1919.
