While it may not look it, the Exalted Class is a powerful and fast warship, one that makes up many of the New Church fleets in defence of Earth and its colonies. Equipped with a top of the line arcane reactor and a gate system for interstellar travel the Exalteds were unmatched in their category at the beginning of the twenty third century in Earth controlled space. Truly one of the most amazing crafts to come out of the Jupiter shipyard's R&D department.
Here we have one of the ships that will be featuring heavily in my comic Exalt. These crafts belong to the defence organization known as the New Church and are often seen in orbit around Earth but also across varies parts of colonized space. While not the most powerful of the church's ships they are often seen in groups and have a very good service record thus far.
The Exalted class is armed with missile and rocket batteries, defensive guns for use against projectiles or smaller craft (or anyone just stupid enough to get close), mass cannons at the bow (which yes, are using magitech) and a few small magic based energy weapons.
I am very happy with how this image turned out so you can bet in the future I will be getting further designs from the same person! Details on the ships specs are always pending changes, so you'll have to wait to see them in action!

No offence but think a bit more creatively. Yes i know there is no atmosphere in space to carry a shockwave, but they can be used to physically strike shields to weaken them or carry kinetic payloads to strike against the hull.
Or even by their simple presence in a battle to overwhelm point defense guns and give fighters a better chance of survival against large capital ships.

The missiles and rockets from the Exalted class are for the most part meant to be used in atmosphere or a space/orbit to surface attacks. Its primary weapons are the magitech based mass cannons as they act as the main guns, but otherwise much of the actual combat in the vacuum relies on the other guns and the energy weapons.
Missles would not be effective, they would create heat, but no shock wave, since no air.
Have you thought of using a mass driver weapon system like a rail gun and at a cheap cost fire chunks of rock and iron. plenty of that ammo in space!
you do not have to crush the shield, the impact would crush the side of the ship. much like the pressure wave used in deaph charges to crush the hulls of u -boats in W.W.II. low coast ,cheap and if to use for planet pounding, very effective!

The missiles installed in the Exalted's launchers do not use conventional explosives, in fact only half of the missiles onboard the ship are conventional and they are designed to hit targets in atmosphere. By the time of this ships inception, warfare in space still wasn't really a thing, a lot of strategies hadn't been implemented and the ship is actually meant to be used on freakishly large monsters not other ships. The entire ship is actually designed around the concept of combating beasts relative to its own size if not larger and if you look at the desc. the ship has two front mounted mass cannons which you can also see in the image.
