I got bored and made this. This is one of five of his outfits. Usually Omen does not wear much aside black denim jeans. This is his full body explorer armor. Omen is a panther, he only wears this in dangerous territory. This is probably my best art of Omen. I had to play with this a little because the first time, I noticed I drew the ears out of proportion, SO I did it the long way and completely redrew it just for more practice.
Yes, it is dark. This is completely digital, but I tried to detail it and left Photoshop open and my laptop running for 24 hours. It's dark because I really got lazy and didn't want to add the highlights. Besides, my roleplaying database is BLACK. So I try to make most my Omen-related art dark too.
At the top left hand side I used a few different brush shapes, you can probably see one of the preset ones for the Dune Grass shape rather easily. Throughout most the background, I stuck with various oil brushes and some softs and rounds. I only used one filter towards the end, aside the Gaussian blur, and it was smudge stick. I duplicated the original layer before hand and set the smudge-stick effect to a 11% opacity.
Some tools I used here: Push, Burn, 5-point star for the eye, paintbrush in various measures, a few clone tool processes, several colors, Gaussian blur at a light setting. I started out with a gray background and finished it with a black box layer and some custom text.
For some reason, the ears and the shoulders were the hardest to detail, and I kept messing up the plants but I finally fixed it. I guess I could go back through eventually and highlight some of the plants to make it work with the light a little more... but I'll do that later.
