I have struggled most of my life with not knowing what to believe. Around February I realized I want to rejoin Christianity, or a denomination. So I did a lot of internal debate and spoke to a lot of people.
Finally I spoke to CatholicFurs and I ended up speaking to
Salvestro. He is a wonderful person, a minotaur among men who helped me clear up many misconceptions I had, of which their are many.
Beyond that he helped me see Catholicism as rational, if for no other reason then things happens for a reason (as a Baptist this is not the case). I swore going in I wasn't going to end up Catholic. After 19 days I changed my mind.

I am truly filled with joy to know that you want to b Catholic and follow Christ. I am so happy for you and will continue to pray for your soul. All of us are called to be holy, Jack. All of us are called to be Saints. Mary will lead us to Christ and help us along the Way of the Cross. And we too will also help each other, as Simon helped Jesus, along the Via Cruxis.

I think I will always feel wounded that you left me out of your soul-searching process and, given that I have many issues with Catholicism I'm not particularly thrilled by your choice, but as long as you still believe in Christ and that salvation comes through relationship with him, that's all that really matters.
