Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is a very serious game.

Seriously, though, such wonderful gameplay. Few things are as good as finishing a tough enemy and spending several seconds dicing them into tiny pieces.
Have you ever tried Killer is Dead? It's like if Revengeance face-planted into an anime and then stumbled through an Instagram beauty parlor. The filters are intense to the point that dark black becomes this deep blue, and it ends up looking so gorgeous... :-:

I was lucky enough to pick up the special edition at GameStop long after release, and I have not regretted it.
It's so crazy over the top in all the right ways: sexualized secretary woman who turns out to be the human incarnation of Bullet Hell, ridiculously badass boss figure with a robotic arm that he uses the plasma caster for to light cigars, an over-the-top vampire DLC, a samurai with a tattoo that turns into a real live tiger, and a super-stylized techno level with awesome level design. I highly recommend it to people who like Revengeance, because it has a lot in common for gameplay and the feel of a game with some seriousness but a lot of goofiness to show it doesn't take itself as a grimdark serious game.
To properly illustrate that: The second mission has you go to fight the King of the Moon, who's dressed in some ridiculous skimpy golden outfit with a crotch centerpiece.
