Gawd, you are one stupid bastard. Kelpi ARE the original sirens, hell it's was created the Siren mythos later on. Kelpi used to lure sailors with songs an then would drag 'em to the sea to drown 'em for shits and giggles, they used to either take shape of beautiful females or sometimes magical fish.

Okay you guys, as much as I like people with European accents arguing, let's not fight over two mythical creatures that are basically the same thing (I did research). The movie says they are sirens, the movie made the characters, that's why the movie is trustworthy. I don't know where the Kelphie theory came from but it dies fit with the character's designs. So yeah, you both have valid points
