Sixth in a series of infrared photography. Abandoned section of a cemetery in PA. Heavy post editing to bring out some interesting color. An abandoned steel mill once used to provide material for the construction of the Empire State building and the Golden Gate bridge looms behind the more kept up of section of the cemetery.

Hehe, no worries. :) Thank you! Most infrared rolls of film are more b/w ish, but some will provide color for work in the darkroom. With digital, your white balance is sort of the chemical processing with infrared. If you just put on a filter and shoot, you'll get a fully red image lacking any other color or real detail. You need to adjust your camera to get the results you'd like. Right now, I have mine set so it ignores the red, and grass / trees / plant life are actually almost green. There will always be some form of post processing required with color infrared (for results of this nature, mind you), but its just part of the learning curve. :)
Thank you again! I'm very happy with this photo, and this was shot back before I really knew what I was doing with IR. I think I may have gotten lucky. On that note, it was a 2 hour drive one way, and I was already 7 hours away from home, so I think I cashed in some of my luck for this. ;)

I can totaly imagine an iron dragon of some sort flying in the sky.
The IR filter really adds a ser'real appearence. Its almost like it was CG created and not photographed. Its almost as if its in another world.
On a side note though, I'd like to see what the actual color of this would look like. Though I'm sure it takes away from the intrest. >_<
Anyway, fabulous as always! ^_~

Wow, quite a collection. And the Rebel XT's are dropping in price heavily do to the release of the XTi. $300 is still a great price, and the XT is a great camera for the Canon digital market. I'd suggets getting a Hoya for that camera when you do pick it up, and go digital IR. You'll learn an awful lot with a media that can be formatted and retaken on the spot, and save money on roll after roll of film you can use once you've learned the technique. :)
Keep in touch. I haven't seen you online.

Well, it is, but not in the sense that I changed any colors. I swapped to a blue color channel from red, and the rest sort of fell into place. This was long before I understood how to work well with infrared light.
And thanks! That huge steel mill in the background is currently being taken down to be a new casino. Gotta love how history is plowed over for penny slots.
