An eastern dog warrior, pre-first human contact. He is wearing an armor made of rattan, and armed with bamboo-rimed crossbow and arrows fletched with leaves.
Massive northward migration of these dogs was what forced the eastern foxes to take refuge in archipelago east of the middle lands, deciding current geographical distribution of fox and dog populations in eastern part of the continent.

Draw length of some Chinese style crossbows were longer than that of European crossbows(though this did not necessarily made them more powerful). See this article on Han Dynasty Chinese crossbow, and video on Chinese style crossbows used in Korea(from 2:20).
The crossbow in the doodle was largely inspired by Southeast Asian/Southwest Chinese crossbows such as one shown in this picture.

Yes, thanks, now I get it. I read scientific studies about Chinese and Korean crossbows, they had a softer descent system, I also know something about siege throwing machines.
Because I am a big fan of the Chinese novels "Romance of Three Kingdoms" and "Water Margin", and also love the history of the times of the Mongol conquests, and I was interested in the heroic medieval history of the Korean war against the Japanese invasion, I generally know about Korean and Chinese medieval weapons and armor. But I know little about the unique features inherent only in the Korean weapons of a warrior. Your art is unique and amazing!
