This is my first try at writing Sci-Fi. I was a big fan of the Sci-Fi genre when I was like 12, then I slowly lost interest in this genre. Ah well, I'll try to make something good :)

Author's notes - Please read.

Terrans are humans. Jarry comes from Terra (the Earth) while Gavin comes from sector Xielit while Mortreux comes from sector Rakan. Those are Terran colonies in space.

Nostra is an Adrakinide (this race name is reused. Not related to Lance Darkwaters). Her kin is a reptilian race from outer space. The first contact was full of hostility. Adrakinides are still at war against the Terrans. Only a few clans were neutral to the Terrans and joined willingly their colony for cultural exchange.


Mark is an Alkor, the Enligthed race of the galaxy. Physically, they're not much different from a Terran, except that they're genderless (they can look more 'male' or 'female' according to their personality). Their skin tone is more blue/green-ish.

There is a definite number of Alkors in this world and every time one reaches the end of his life, they 'rebirth' at the Tree of Life, their home planet, only if they died naturally (age, disease). Alkors can't reproduce.

Alkors are natural telepaths. They can read people's mind and speak through it. They make great diplomats because they're not stopped by language barriers. They can still speak normally, just like a human do if they learned the language.

Everything an average Terran can do, an average Alkor can do it better.

The first contact was pacific. In fact, the Alkors had found the Terran for centuries, but they have waited until they consider the Terrans ready to learn that they're not alone in the galaxy.
