Well, thanks! :> I was actually just asked a couple of years ago to join a writing collective that was set for a specific universe. (>Umbagog!<) The characters were from a previous project that went nowhere; I really liked them and didn't want to just get rid of them, and they happened to fit really well here!
Then I made comics that were way longer than anticipated and just made it into a webcomic :U
I'm also planning to include some characters of other writers for Umbagog sometime soon, too c:
