Isn't he cute? This is a Texas Spiny lizard. I live in Texas so these little guys are native around here and often kept as pets in the pet trades. This is the first time I have seen a wild one. He is super tame and looks to me that he is still young. They can reach almost 11 inches and this guy is only 6. Super neat lizard. I found him while moving some wood to make some more Halloween decorations.
I just thought it was cool to see one in the wild like this. I will be setting him free I just wanted to show off the new friend I found in my backyard. ^^

yeah that's what I was thinking since it is starting to get a little colder. But I think with the wood pile we have and the big tree then he should be alright. We also live near a creek so he should be fine. He's still fun to have around for at least a little while. I looked it up and they said they are adaptable to store bought foods though is why I offered him some of my gut loaded bugs.
