Here's what the layout was for all the pieces on the Treasure Digger Game for those curious as to what was where and what was not yet dug up. I'll also go over some of the less obvious clues.

The Key to the Chests lies in the Past and in Fate.
This clue can be figured out by analyzing the key words in it. First off, Chests obviously refers to the chests in the game. Key refers to the answer to what lies in the chests rather than a key to open them. So it is like the key to solving this game. Past refers to just that, something prior to this game and there was a game we played before this one which Fate also points at, the Path of Destiny game. If you recall, each path was a different color and ended with a smiley face, sad face, or jest. The chests were all different colors and by comparing the color of the chest to the first game you can easily figure out which chest contains what.

X Marks the Spot... of Doom!
Very obvious if you look at the answer grid. There is X on the grid with the Jester symbol as the center point.
