1) Sticky. It’s dark and lights don’t work and it’s sticky. Nobody goes there.
I decided that, as a warm-up most weekdays and a means to develop my digital painting techniques, I'll try to work on one of these each morning. Now as for WHAT they are-
Marlissa's canon contains 42* "official" dimensions, as designated by the Dimensional Regulatory Commission. The succubus frequently travels between these (though some, you'll see, are visited less.) and does her succubus things. But not dimension 1. There's no point. Nobody's there. So that's a little project of mine! 'u'

That said, nobody's found Dimension 1 to be self-aware or definitively 'alive' in any way. The inability for light to work at all is strange, and mostly it's just unsettling being there so nobody stays long at all.

The numbering system doesn't indicate any sort of 'level' to a dimension per se, other than how 'far' apart from another dimension it is. Of course, that in itself is a strange thing because some dimensions seem to be easier to hit than others. Anyway, the gist of the system is that, if you're a traveler hoping around, it's less energy consuming to hop from #1 to #2 than #1 to #40.
That being said, there's been some speculation that perhaps it's a failed universe? One that never materialized beyond some sort of primordial ooze.
