I performed some beautiful music, and when I did, I found myself not looking at the sheet music in front of my stand, and instead being swept away by the very music I was producing, letting it flow out of my heart. A musician's relationship to the music transcends the blots of ink on sheets of paper. It is intimate to degrees in which even musicians sometimes can not understand, but we become one with the music we perform, compose, or produce; and there is no greater experience than that.
