Rayne shall be Rabbit Stew? Evolutions will brew!It was a beautiful day – the best the weather had to offer this week. Rayne Molner, the young and rich Lopunny was going for a relaxing stroll in the forest with her equally as wealthy friend, Lilli Reichtum the Kirlia. The scenery and atmosphere was as tranquil as they expected it to be. It was indeed a welcoming change from all the loud hustle and bustle of the towns they experienced on a daily basis.
"Yeah, this day is just absolutely perfect...nice weather, no noise, brother not getting on my nerves anymore..." Rayne commented, taking in a deep inhale of the unpolluted smell of the forest.
“I wholeheartedly agree, Rayne.” Lilli stated, placing on a small smile of contentment. "This day is most wonderful indeed. It is as if all of my grievances are simply melting with each step I take here."
“Lilli, have you ever thought about evolving?” Rayne politely inquired, turning her head to face the Kirlia.
“I know this may sound quite perplexing, Rayne, but no I haven’t.”
"You haven't?" asked the Lopunny girl. "But I'd bet you'd look even more beautiful as a Gardevoir, like your mom."
“I appreciate the prearranged compliment, Rayne, but I am most content with my current form.” Lilli explained to her rabbit companion.
Rayne was about to question further into why her friend refused to evolve, but she soon decided against it since relaxation was their top priority at this moment in time. They soon came to a refreshing, crystal clear lake that was surprisingly absent of any water-type Pokemon. Rayne and Lilli sat down next to one another by the water and tipped their feet inside the cool liquid.
“Aaaah, this is just the thing to cool off my feet.” Rayne said, closing her eyes. "After all that walking and hopping around, it felt like they were on fire..."
Lilli remained silent for a moment as she nodded in agreement with her friend. "I am simply thankful that my studies do not prevent me from partaking in wonderful moments such as this." the Kirlia replied.
“It’s…” Rayne suddenly paused, her nose twitching a couple of times, letting out a tiny sneeze about a second later.
"What is wrong, Rayne?" asked Lilli.
“It’s just the pollen in the air, Lilli.” the Lopunny girl replied. "Some of it just got into my nose, that's all."
"...That seems peculiar." noted the Kirlia. "According to what I have been taught, this is not the season for plant life to be spreading pollen."
“Good morning!” a loud voice sounding, getting the immediate attention of the two.
Both Rayne and Lilli causally glanced over to their right and saw that a Vileplume was approaching them. It stood merely a few feet away from them and bowed courteously. Rayne and Lilli shared a confused glance at one another; neither of them knew this Vileplume and wondered what he wanted.
Turning back to face the Vileplume, Rayne inquired, “Can we help you?” followed by two bewildered blinks.
“You two most certainly may!” The Vileplume responded in a cheery tone of voice, placing on equally as jolly smile. “My name is one known by very few, but it is a name that will soon ascend into popularity like Pringles! I am the preparer...self-proclaimed contemplating chef as it was...I am the sorcerer of sauces! The champion of chilli choppers! I am…” he paused to spin around twice on one foot. “I am masterful, I am graceful…I am Cordon!”
Rayne and Lilli were left speechless. The Lopunny girl has met her fair share of weird Pokemon – mostly villains – but Cordon was something special.
“I…I see…What exactly do you want, um Cordon…?” Rayne questioned.
“Hold your horse radishes! I must first properly prepare if I am addressing the salad dressing!” He said before turning his back to the two, leaving them even more mystified.
Cordon started to hum a tune as he tilted his head forward and sprayed yellow pollen into the air. He swiped his hand at it, getting some of the pollen attached almost instantly. Rayne and Lilli once again looked at one another in confusion, both wondering what the strange Cordon was trying to do. By the looks of it, he was rubbing some of the collected pollen over his face. While he was doing so, he never stopped humming his generic tune.
“Rayne, forgive me if I sound too mean spirited, but I do not feel comfortable around this Cordon.” Lilli whispered to her Lopunny friend.
“Relax, Lilli. Sure he is an odd one I must admit, but I hardly think he is dangerous.” Rayne whispered in return.
Cordon twirled around on the spot three times, his back ending up facing the two girls. “Voila Vindaloo!” he exclaimed, stretching out his arms to the side. “Now I am…” now noticing that he was facing the wrong direction, Cordon quickly turned around, revealing to the girls that he now had a fake French moustache made from his own pollen. “Now I am ready! Behold – my pollen of precision!”
Cordon tilted his head forward, immediately unleashing red pollen at Rayne and Lilli. This surprise attack naturally took the two by complete surprise, thus they were unable to evade and were sent into a coughing spree. After a couple more coughs, Rayne and Lilli stood up straight with their arms pinned to their sides. Their faces were showing no expression of anger for Cordon’s sneaky assault. Both Rayne and Lilli had vacant looks and their eye pupils were glowing with an eerie red; the same red as the pollen that they accidentally inhaled.
“Ah-ha…ha-ha-ha-ha! Sweet Savouring Sis-kebab! I now have two beautiful, pre-prepared snacks for my pet!” Cordon sinisterly announced, followed by a taunting laugh. “Now, my apprising appetizers please follow me.”
“Yes, Master Cordon…” The girls replied in unison, their voices matching in terms of monotone presentation.
Cordon walked away, followed closely behind by the entranced duo. The iniquitous Vileplume led the two further into the forest. During the walk, the red glow in the eyes of the entranced Kirlia began to dimmer slightly. No one knew it, but Lilli's mind was capable of fighting off the strange power that flowed into her and Rayne. The trio eventually arrived in a small clearing with a huge, long hollow log situated under a tree. Other than that, there was nothing else that really stood out, at least on the outside.
“Ah, we are here, girls – my own, personal kitchen!” Cordon announced to the brainwashed females, turning around to face them.
The so-called kitchen lacked any supplies and utilities a normal kitchen supplied. Due to their trance, neither Rayne nor Lilli paid it any notice; they simply stared ahead, not making a single sound.
"Like a cake without frosting, this place may seem unimpressive at first..." began Cordon, “I do not require the normalities of a regular kitchen to prepare succulent snacks or delectable dinners!”
The two unwilling guests made no movement or sound whatsoever. If one didn't know any better, it was as if the Vileplume was talking to himself.
“Catastrophic Cauliflowers! Everyone is a critic!” Cordon growled before gracefully, but needlessly twirling around on the spot three times, stopping with his back to the girls. “Augustus! Augustus, come to me!”
An Arbok slithered out of the log at a swift pace and up to Cordon. “You called ssssssir?” he inquired, bowing his head in respect.
"I have brought you quite the tantalizing treat for you today, my good friend." stated Cordon. “Feast your eyes on the feasts! This luscious Lopunny and captivating Kirlia shall satisfy your taste buds today!”
Upon hearing those words, the red glow in Lilli's eyes began fading rapidly, while the one in Rayne’s eyes remained just as bright.
”Ooooh, a Lopunny!” Augustus hissed with much interest, setting his eyes on Rayne. “It’sssss been sssso long sssssince I ate one of thossssse.”
Lilli suddenly let out a tiny gasp. The Arbok and Vileplume turned to look at her, but she made no other sounds, leading them to believe that sound came from elsewhere. Augustus proceeded to coil up his intended Lopunny lunch, giving her body a light squeeze and her face a flicker of his tongue. Rayne showed no resistance since she was still subservient to the strange power that flowed over her.
“Can I eat her now, Sssssir?” The Arbok eagerly asked, his mouth watering. "I can't sssssstand to wait any longer..."
“N..No...” Lilli said mentally to herself in fear, breaking her way through Cordon’s mind control, “I cannot allow Rayne to become this menace’s meal!”
“Leaping Ludicrous Lasagne!” Cordon exclaimed, slapping his forehead, followed by a sigh. “You can’t eat her without any flavouring, Augustus! Why do you think I'm here? To watch you eat your meals raw? Perish such an inedible thought!"
"Fine, whatever..." the Arbok responded. "Sssssso what do you sssssuggesssssst, then?"
The red glow completely vanished from Lilli’s eyes as did Cordon's hold over her highly-developed Psychic-type brain. Luckily, her two captors had yet to notice that her free will had returned.
“Oran berry juice will do just fine, Augustus!” said the Vileplume. "With a slight hint of Tamato for that extra 'kick'."
Cordon travelled over to the only bush in the clearing that grew berries and plucked out four Oran Berries and two Tamato Berries. Augustus remained in one spot, paying more attention to the hypnotized Rayne more than anything else.
"You're lucky I'm not an impa-sssss-tient individual, Cordon." he said. 'Otherwissssse, I'd have sssssssswalloed her whole by now!"
“If I do not act hastily, that baleful serpent will surely devour Rayne....” thought Lilli. "I don't know how well I'll fare against them, but I must try!"
Cordon returned to the trio, hands full of the collected berries. “Augustus, uncoil that Lopunny and lay her down on the grass, please.” He politely requested, smirking shrewdly. The Vileplume then inspected Rayne closely, thinking of how he was actually going to "prepare" her.
The Arbok nodded, carefully and gently placing Rayne on the grass.
"Hmmm...now this is peculiar. Why haven't I noticed this before?" Cordon asked himself. "I guess I am not used to seeing Pokemon that wear clothing."
"Well, mosssssst of the meals you had given me were sssssimply thosssse that lived in the wild." Augustus figured. "Thissssss one sssssseemsssssss to be a town-dwelling Pokemon, which would ex-ssssss-plain her attire."
“Well, we certainly can’t apply the flavouring with all this unnecessary coating. Lopunny I order you to remove the insanitary dressing of yours!” The Vileplume declared.
Without a sound or motion showing a sign of resistance, Rayne got up and began to undress while in her catatonic state.
But as she did, Lilli decided this had gone too far and shouted, "You shall do no such thing to my companion!!"
Cordon and Augustus looked back, shocked; all the while, Rayne continued to follow her orders.
“Apposing Aggravating Asparagus!” Cordon yelled furiously “How did she break free?!"
"Come to think of it," hypothesized the Arbok, "you never consssssssidered taking a Psssssychic-type here for a meal, either..."
“Well, regardless of their type, I simply cannot allow any ignorant interruptions!” the cunning grass-type proclaimed, a crafty grin curling up on his face. “All she needs in a little extra spice...” He tilted his head, preparing to unleash another batch of his mind control pollen.
Lilli gasped and teleported away, narrowly evading the puff of red pollen that would have put her back into an entranced state.
"Where did sssshhhhe go??" asked Augustus.
“Great Gratuitous Gravy! If we let her escape, that Kirlia will ruin the meal like loud noise to a Soufflé!” Cordon fumed, giving the soft ground a hard stomp with his left leg.
"Worry not." said the Arbok. "Sssshhhhe called thissss Lopunny her friend, correct? Sssshhhhe'll have to come back and ressssscue her; we jusssssst need to wait."
"Ah, what a savoury idea, Augustus!" complimented Cordon. "In the meantime, I can properly prepare the captive we still have for a truly delightful dinner!"
Cordon did just that; he squished one of the Oran Berries into Rayne’s chest and spread the juices all over. By this point, the Lopunny had completely fulfilled her orders, her outfit piled neatly on the ground. The Vileplume rubbed the berry juices down both of her legs, the sweet and spicy smell of the juice mixture becoming more potent by the second. Augustus watched his partner flavour Rayne, not once taking his eyes away from his soon-to-be dinner. The berry mixture was of a purple colour, and it slightly altered the colour of Rayne's fur as well when it was rubbed onto her.
Unbeknownst to the sinister pair, Lilli never left the area. She was spying on them from high up on a tree branch, trying to conduct a plan to not only save her friend but also try and defeat them. But taking on the two cannibalistic creatures seemed impossible at the time. It didn’t help that Lilli was more of a Pokemon of the upmost and civilized culture than she was a Psychic powerhouse.
"Oh, what am I to do...?" she thought to herself. "I do so wish to save my dear friend, Rayne...but am I not powerful enough to take on such overwhelming odds alone..." her eyes were even starting to form and produce tears. “If only Miss Allison or Molo Eggman were here...”
“Voila Vindaloo!” announced Cordon with praise. “I, the talented Cordon have finished yet another eye-catching meal to please the taste buds of any sophisticated creature!”
"Ssssssso what nex-ssssss-t?" asked the Arbok. "May I eat her now?"
"Not just yet." answered the Vileplume. "There is still one last part of this recipe. She is just way too cold to be considered scrumptious. I believe a nice amount of heat should be applied; it will heighten the overall flavour."
"Well, I do enjoy a nic-sssss-e hot meal, but without an oven, it will take ssssssome time." noted Augustus.
"That is not too big a concern, my dear friend." said Cordon. “They do not call me the preparation prince for nothing, you know! Let's get a nice fire going, and put up the cooking slab."
“There is only one possible way I can think of to end this frightening dilemma...” thought Lilli as she watched the two put up a long, rectangular plate that stood on the ground like a very low table. “I do hate engaging in uncivilized battles, but in order to save my dear friend, I must ignore my hereditary customs. For I was told not to turn your back to a friend in their most distressing time!" thought Lilli with growing confidence.
Cordon had finished lighting the fire underneath the large plate. He then ordered Rayne, "Okay, I want you to come over and lie down on this pad on your back. We will handle the rest."
“Yes, Master Cordon...” Rayne spoke, her voice still lacking little to no emotion. She then walked over laid down onto the plate, seemingly unaware that she going to be cooked up for an Arbok's meal.
“RAYNE, STOP!!”
Rayne didn't stop following Cordon's instructions, but Lilli's shout alerted the Arbok and Vileplume to her presence.
“Conspiring Calculating Cajun! It’s that Kirlia girl!” shouted Cordon.
"Sssssee? what did I tell you?" stated Augustus. "Ssssssshe retuened to usssss by hersssssself..."
“You...you...discourteous cretins shall not succeed in your ghastly plot as long as I am around to put an end to it!” shouted Lilli. "I am leaving this horrid place with my companion and you won't impede my progress!!"
“Insolent Idiotic Injera! You do not address the wise, sultan of sauces like that!” yelled the Vileplume.
"Don't get your apron in a knot, Cordon." said Augustus. "I'll handle thisssss and work up a nice appetite at the ssssssame time. Sssssshe may be Psssssychic-type, but sssssshe doessssssn't look very tough..."
Lilli teleported down to the ground and prepared to fight for survival; not just for herself, but also for Rayne. On that note, the process of cooking the Lopunny had begun, with a pleasant aroma starting to fill the room.
“Augustus, stand aside! I shall stop this girl with my mind control pollen!” Cordon said to his Arbok cohort, forming an evil grin. “It is considered impolite to fight in a kitchen.”
"So that is what he did to control my dear friend..." the Kirlia realized. “I assure you that I shall never succumb to your diabolical authority!”
"Just as the pieces of a sliced carrot fall one by one into the cooking pot, so shall you succumb to my pollen's effects!" stated the Vileplume.
“Your vocabulary is as uncalled for as it is exasperating.” Lilli told the Grass-type.
Cordon titled his head forward, preparing to unleash his mind evading pollen. However, Augustus swiftly slithered past him, almost knocking him off his feet. The Arbok opened his mouth wide, revealing his sharp fangs before lunging at Lilli. Using her faithful teleport, Lilli saved herself from a nasty and possibly deadly Poison Fang.
“Ssssneaky little...” Augustus growled, stopping himself before he hit the tree. "Where are you now...?"
“I am right here, you contemptible serpent!” Lilli declared, appearing behind the Arbok. Before he could react, Lilli delivered her best Confusion attack. It wasn't very strong, but it did knock the Arbok down.
“Waaarrggg! You’ll pay for that, little morssssssel...” Augustus hissed menacingly at her. His eyes started to glow a bright, piecing yellow.
Lilli gasped and quickly looked away, preventing herself from getting paralyzed by the snake’s Glare attack. However, this action proved to be an unwise one as Augustus jumped at her. He bit deeply into her arm with his Poison Fang.
“ARRGGGHHHHHH!!” Lilli shrieked in pain.
The attack failed to poison her, but it hurt her a lot. Lilli whimpered as she held her injured arm in pain. Augustus smirked wickedly and wrapped his long tail tightly around her neck, lifting her off the ground. "Ssssssinc-sssss-e you're an obivousssss nusssscience to me," he told her, "I'll have you assssss an appetiz-ssssss-er!!"
“Holy Horrendous Haggis! You cannot greedy gobble up an uncooked meal, Augustus!“ said Cordon.
"I don't mind it if it meansssss getting rid of thisssss little brat!!" argued the Arbok.
“As long as you don’t spoil you appetite, I suppose its fine. The Lopunny is almost at the correct temperature.” replied the Vileplume.
But despite her intense pain, Lilli said, with a slight snarl, "I will not let you devour my friend..."All of a sudden, her body began to emit a bright, white glow.
"AAARGH!!!" grunted the two villains, blinded temporarily by the light.
Augustus released the Kirlia from his grasp, allowing her to levitate in mid-air. As she floated free of gravity, she began to grow larger into a more elegant-looking shape. It was quite evident that Lilli was evolving into the final form of her species. And that was confirmed as the light faded away, revealing a lovely Gardevoir.
Recovering from their brief period of blindness, Cordon and his Arbok minion looked wide-eyed in shock at Lilli. "Thisssssss can't be possible!!" exclaimed Augustus.
“Panicking Peapods! She has become a Gardevoir!!” Cordon cried out.
Lilli took a step forward, “It would prove to be most wise to surrender Rayne to me...” she informed them. "Striking me now will prove to be as foolish as it is pointless."
“You don’t ssssscare me, Gardevoir!” Augustus roared, trying his best to hide his fear. "I'll make a meal out of you, and you can't ssssstop me!!"
Lilli rose up her left hand at the opposing Arbok, sending out a powerful energy wave, dealing a lot of damage to him.
"AAAAACK!!!!" The Arbok was flung from the ground and hit a tree trunk. The impact was enough to knock him out cold.
“No, no, no! Augustus!” Cordon cried in alarm. He glared at the Gardevoir, but soon regretted it when she returned an even fiercer glare.
"Release my friend this instant, or you will most certainly regret it!!" Lilli shouted in tone of anger that she had never used up until now.
“You...d-d-dare give me such an order?!” He yelled, backing away slowly from the intimidating Psychic-Type, sweat running down his face.
"Yes...I dare indeed..." Lilli replied, approaching ever-nearer to the scared Vileplume. “I warn you, Cordon, I do despite repeating myself when I am in this mood!” she told him sternly. "Let my friend go...or I'll TAKE HER BACK WITH FORCE!!!"
“SHE IS ALL YOURS!” Cordon screamed terrified of the infuriated Gardevoir. He then made a run for it, eager to get away from the enraged Lilli. It took him a couple of tumbles, but eventually he disappeared from her sight.
Lilli gasped for air as she tried to recollect her thoughts. “Oh dear, I should learn to control my anger more.” she said to herself. She then happened to glance at a small puddle of water, and saw her new form for the first time. “...I’m...I am...a Gardevoir just like my mother!” she said to herself in amazement. She didn't have much time to think about it, as the smell in the air reminded her that Rayne still needed to be rescued. “Hang on, Rayne, I shall save you!”
Lilli used her Psychic to quickly levitate her friend off the make-shift stove. When she used her telekinesis to drop her friend into her arms, Lilli could definitely feel that she was very warm from her cooking. Her eye pupils were still emitting the ominous red glow. Somehow, Lilli knew just what to do to fix her friend's mind. The eyes of the Gardevoir developed a purple hue and soon, Rayne's body emitted that same colour around her.
“Urrg....” Rayne moaned the red glow fading away like the dimming of a light.
Lilli gently placed the Lopunny on the ground, sitting her up beside a tree. “Rayne, are you feeling alright? Please say something.”
"Uhhnn...what happened...?" she said with a groan. When her blurry vision cleared up, she gasped at the sight of the newly evolved Lilli. “...Mrs Katherine?? Is that you??”
The Gardevoir giggled a bit and said, 'No, my friend...It is me, Lilli."
Rayne gasped for the second time, “Lilli! You evolved!” she exclaimed, “But how? When?” That thought got pushed aside when Rayne got a look at herself. “Why am I naked and covered in berry juice??” Sniffing the air, she then asked, "And what smells so good?"
Lilli couldn’t help but let out a heartily laugh as she helped her good friend to her feet. "I shall explain it to you at a later date." Lilli said to her, getting her friend's clothing off of the ground. “Let us return home.”
Rayne nodded as she took her things from Lilli and followed her out of the area.
ENDThis is a hypnosis story I wrote way back in November 17, 2011 staring Rayne, her Kirlia friend and one of my most over-the-top hammiest villians to date. I have no idea why I didn't upload it here sooner.
