I am working on a calendar for a year long contest. I will be submitting a picture each month based on a different cryptozoological beast of North America. I've been wanting to give back to my loyal friends and watchers, and I figured, what better way than to offer you a free calendar. You may download this image for free, for personal use only. Please do not abuse this privilege. When all is said and done, at the end of this year, I hope to make a printed version with dates available in time for 2015. (If this works out well and you guys like it, I may do a world-wide version next year in time for 2016. I know that is a long way off!)

October is a very special month for monsters and for me since Halloween is my favorite holiday! So I knew I had to make this month special. So this month's cryptid HAD to be the legendary Bigfoot. What makes him so special? Well he is probably the most widely known, recognizable cryptid there is. There are sightings of bigfoot type creatures and apemen in every part of the world, and for many people he is was their introduction to cryptozoology. Sasquatches seem to come in all shapes, sizes and colors, but I wanted to stick with a classic Pacific Northwest Bigfoot description of an 8 to 10 ft tall, mix of human-like/ape-like creature covered in dark brown or dark reddish hair. He is said to have a domed head similar to a gorilla with a pronounced brow ridge and large forehead. For you big Bigfoot fans, I hope I did him justice for you, and you may notice a nod to the classic Patterson film's iconic pose.
